Tubs is a dog full of love and she just wants to share it with the world.

Tubs is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier who lives in Townsville, Queensland, Australia with her human parents. A few facts about this energetic, fun dog.

She’s a daddy’s girl. She loves the beach. She sleeps in between her mom and dad’s pillow when they leave and she senses when dogs aren’t very nice.

There are two more facts about Tubs you should know.

One, she is very friendly. And two, she loves when her parents and other humans pet her.

Tubs is a Staffy and most people are scared of her breed because of the way they look. And you know what? This is so far from the truth!

“When you want to act macho with a dog, the Staffie’s not really the dog for you. When they see people coming, they want to go and say hello!” David Grant from the Scottish SPCA shared.

That’s definitely Tubs!

Her parents even made a sign that said ‘Tubs is friendly. She would love a gentle pat.’ So what will happen?

Will their neighbors who walk by give Tubs a friendly pat?

So there they are by the gate at their front yard. The sign is up on the fence and Tubs is up on her back legs, waiting for the first ‘patters.’ Who will it be?

Well, look at that! A little kid on his bike stops to pat and scratch Tubs behind the ears.

And then two teenagers walking their dogs come to pat Tubs.

Then the boy with the bike returns with his family and they take their turn patting Tubs.

Tubs’ tail won’t stop wagging. She is loving all the attention!

Now, Tubs knows she’s got every one of her neighbors wrapped around her paw.

Just kidding! Tubs isn’t like that. She just wants to love and be loved.

Now, so many people love Tubs but there are others who are still wary.

“We understand even with the sign that neighbors might not feel comfortable patting Tubs, once again that’s okay. We as the owners respect that,” Tubs’ mom said. “Not everyone pats Tubs and that’s okay. We understand but Tubs does not. Lucky she is so loved by mummy, dad, friends, family, and 99% of the neighborhood.”

One great part that happened because of Tubs’ love for pats is they got to witness the evolution of a couple.

When they first saw the couple, they were just two people together on a walk. Then they noticed the baby bump.

And before they knew it, the couple was walking to Tubs with a stroller. They’ve given birth already!

In a few years, if they all still live there, we might see their baby patting Tubs next time.

Tubs is the perfect example that we shouldn’t judge a book by its cover.

If people had continued to believe that Tubs was a ferocious dog based on her looks, they would have missed out on all that loving.
