Anyone who knows anything about music knows that when it comes to rock n’ roll, Elvis Presley was King. With his iconic voice and unmatchable swagger, it’s no wonder that Elvis and his music have held worldwide influence since he first hit the scene. In fact, he is so influential that some people make a living just impersonating him. That is exactly what one teen proved he could do when he belted out the classic Elvis tune, ‘Can’t Help Falling In Love’ on Russia’s The Voice Kids and absolutely nailed it.

Just trust us when we say that this is hands down one of the best Elvis covers you’ll ever hear, and it’s coming from a teenager.

His name is Yaroslav Karpuk, and the 13-year-old teen blew everyone in the room away with his performance. It was a blind audition for a slot on the show, and from the moment the lyrics start flowing out of his mouth he has every judge’s attention.

In a surprisingly deep, silky smooth voice that matches Elvis’s to the T, the teen dives right into the opening lyrics of the love song. In an overwhelming silence that’s only born of awe, the crowd listens to the velvety voice behind the mic while the judges sit in shock. One judge recognizes the sheer talent behind the voice so quickly that it only takes 15 seconds before he whips his chair around.

Even as the one judge turned around, the teen didn’t skip a single beat in his emulation of Elvis. The audience remained completely captivated.

When Yaroslav’s family saw the first judge spin round, they burst into shouts of joy and praise, knowing that the teen had just earned himself a spot on the show. Though he was now guaranteed a spot on one of the teams, the song wasn’t even close to over and 3 of the 4 judges were still facing away from him.

Even so, the teen stayed in his Elvis flow, crushing ‘Can’t Help Falling In Love’ in a way that made the judges even want to join in.

Dressed to the nines, right down to his slick blazer and a button-down shirt, this kid is proving that the time has come for a new King to take the stage. Of course, it only made sense to pay homage to Elvis himself with his unbelievable cover of the song.

The sheer voice control this kid uses is insane. He matches Elvis’s smooth fluctuations between a bassy baritone to a tenor seamlessly.

Totally entranced, the audience gently sways back and forth to the lull of the teen’s voice. The looks on the faces of the other 3 judges border between excitement and incredulity. There is no question that their curiosity is going to get the better of them. They all want to turn around and see who this incredible voice is coming from.

It seems like the judges just can’t resist any longer. In unison, all three of them spin their chairs around to see the man behind the amazing voice. Needless to say, they were stunned to see 13-year-old Yaroslav singing the song like he wrote it.

With all four judges turned around, the young Elvis in the making now had his choice of who to team up with.

It’s a big decision that comes with a lot of pressure. Everyone in the audience is rigid with suspense. In the end, though, it looks like Yaroslav is all about loyalty. He chooses the first judge who spun his chair, casting his lot with the person who believed in him first.

Whether he wins the final round of the competition or not, we have no doubt that this teen’s skills and talent will take him to the top.
