Talent shows are tough, especially when you are young. Even if it’s not technically a competition, it’s naturally a competition to all of the talent. You want to stand out from the rest and be the best. That means you have to be the best of the best… Or even if you are not the “best,” you have to make it unique and interesting so that it stands out.

These third-grade boys participated in their school’s talent show back in 2013 and a video of the performance went viral, amounting to almost 6 million views and nearly 50,000 likes.

Why did it go viral? Because it was unlike anything we have ever seen before, and it was hilarious. We didn’t see the other acts that participated in the show, but we have a feeling that this was probably the best moment of the entire night.

The lights were off so that they were in the dark on stage. Each boy was wearing a costume that highlighted the outline of their body and glowed-in-the-dark. There was a background that was glowing in the dark as well.

As soon as they entered the stage, the crowd was already laughing. Clearly, the seats were filled with their friends and fellow students. And the outfits they were wearing were also pretty hilarious, especially for little boys.

Before they even start dancing, it’s also already obvious that their routine is different from the rest.

It’s honestly a pretty genius idea. Glow sticks are cheap, yet not a lot of people use them so you stand out. And it makes for a visually interesting performance that really pops out to everyone!

Everyone is ooh-ing and ah-ing as they watch the performance. This helps boost the boys’ confidence, and they get all riled up!

They dance to a medley of songs that includes Macklemore’s “Thrift Shop,” Cali Swag District’s “Teach Me How To Dougie,” Taylor Swift’s “We Are Never Getting Back Together,” and many more.

They manage to keep the audience on their toes with all of the song switch-ups. One moment they are dancing to a sugary pop song and the next moment, they are breaking it down to a hip-hop hit. It almost feels hard to keep up!

It sounds strange, but at times it is hard to even believe that these are even humans dancing on stage! It almost looks like puppets with strings that are being pulled from somewhere above.

This performance took place all the way back in 2013, and its futuristic style totally makes it a show that would be just as successful today.

We are not sure where these boys are today, but we sure hope they are still dancing! They obviously have a true talent and even more so, a solid vision. I mean, who would think to do this? It’s pretty genius, so we hope they continue on with it as best as they can!
