Couple builds bright and comfy tiny home on wheels in just 40 days
For some, building a lego house is about as crafty as they can get when it comes to home-building. Pascal and Catherine, however, decided to build their very own tiny house and still live in it now!
Owning their own constriction company in Kamouraska, Canada, these two weren’t rookies!
Living by the phrase “don’t live in the first house you build” may be a valid one. Experienced builders, however, these two have had quite the training and know how to build their dream home.
The couple’s home is 180-square-feet and was completed in less than two months!
While many home projects take years, this one was completed in a mere forty days. More than just a customer’s request, this home was built just for Pascal and Catherine and is their pride and joy.
With both of them working together and with their strengths, the home is chic and efficient.
With 180-square-feet to work with, creativity is a must in a home like this. Designing to their specific needs, the result is a beautiful and quaint home that anyone would be happy to live in (provided you don’t mind tiny houses)!
Opening the mint green French doors and step inside!
With ceilings that extend to the top of the house, it gives the space a more substantial feel than it really it. Feeling open and airy, it uses the corners and walls to make the tiny home feel less cramped.
Space is limited in tiny homes, so they were intentional with every detail!
One of those details is a drop-down table that swings back up on the wall when not in use! There is a bench that seats two but could be expanded with chairs if needed.
The house is white inside and has windows surrounding it, giving a full and open feel.
You don’t feel cramped because of the use of light through the house. The windows let light in through the day, and there is string lighting that illuminates the walls and floor at night.
There is even room for guests!
If the couple has a guest over, they have a spare closet and a pull out bed hidden under the sofa. This is one cool place to host a friend! Since it is on wheels, you can even take the house to them!
A useful and simple kitchen.
Their kitchen has all the essentials you may need. Butcher block countertops add a warm wood feel and the two-burner stove, sink, and minifridge add the utility. The kitchen makes excellent use of the space!
A wood-burning stove is the key to a warm home.
Canada can get cold! Thankfully, the couple took precautions. Using a wood-burning stove and triple insulating the windows keeps them toasty in the winter.
Sleeping loft for two!
One of the coolest sections of the house, the home has a loft with their bed situated like a bird’s nest. The entire vibe is white and looks extra comfy! There are two windows on either side to wake you up in the morning.
With a tiny home that doesn’t sacrifice on the essentials or the amenities, this is one cool place!
Seeing these impressive homes always makes me want to move out to some remote place and live out of a tiny house! Maybe next year!
