Tiny rescued kitty refuses to stop embracing the woman who saved her life

Patricia Lika had fostered many ill kittens in the past. Even she was doubtful that this kitten would pull through. But she was determined to do all that she could.
At first, the grey kitten with a missing paw was living with her three siblings in a foster home. But while the other kittens grew larger, she became weaker.

The rescue organization had to turn to Patricia Lika, who had had much experience with helping critically-ill kittens.
When Patricia first saw the kitten, she thought that she probably wouldn’t make it.

She could tell that the kitten was very underweight and weak. But she still wanted to give the kitten a chance. So Patricia took her in.
The vet prescribed some antibiotics to treat an infection the cat had picked up.

The weeks passed by, and the kitten was still very ill. At six weeks of age, the kitten only weighed half a pound. But Patricia gave the kitten as much attention as she could spare. And the kitten appreciated the effort. She purred non-stop around Patricia.
And then something amazing happened.

The kitten started gaining in strength. Soon, she was limping around the home with lots of energy. Patricia realized that her intensive care was beginning to pay off.
The foster mom decided to name the kitten Pawly because of her missing paw.

Over the coming days, Pawly kept on getting better. Soon, she was playing with Patricia.
She grew incredibly attached to Patricia. She never wanted to be apart from her and followed her all around.

And soon, Pawly had learned to do all the things that non-disabled cats do. For instance, she soon became great at climbing.
At the time of writing, Pawly has been with Patricia for just over a month. Patricia cannot believe the progress that the kitten has made in such a short span of time.

Patricia also has other foster cats in her home. Pawly gets along well with all of them.
Eventually, Pawly will find a forever home. But Patricia will look after her for as long as it takes.

Disabled cats often have a hard time finding a family. But Pawly is very cute, so maybe she’ll be adopted sooner rather than later.
Pawly’s story really shows why it’s important to foster and support disabled cats and other animals.
If Patricia hadn’t come along, Pawly may not be alive today. But thanks to her, this cat is thriving.

If you’re ever looking to bring a cat into your home, you should definitely consider a special needs cat. They may be a little different, but they really love the people who take them in!
And even if you can’t adopt a special needs cat, then you could also be like Patricia and foster one. Failing that, you could also support an organization that helps special needs cats. There are cats that need this support in every city in America. Sadly, not all of them get the same chance as Pawly.
