Tiny puppy gets out of his kennel and rushes to befriend the biggest dog there
Sometimes the littlest dogs have the biggest attitudes and personalities. At The MuttShack Animal Rescue in Simi Valley, California, one puppy has shown that he is not afraid to play with the big dogs, even though he is only a tiny puppy.
All the puppy wanted to do was play
In a video of the cute encounter, the puppy is shown running across the rescue’s outdoor area. It seems that he escaped his kennel to visit the bigger dogs. Soon, he is running around under the legs of the much bigger dogs. The little guy is determined to make friends with the bigger dogs and ends up approaching a Great Dane, named Sasha.
The shelter tried placing the puppy in his own kennel
The shelter tried to curb the puppy’s enthusiasm soon after his arrival by placing him in his own kennel. Knowing he was a live wire from the start, the shelter staff only wanted to protect him from some of the bigger animals at the rescue.
But the adorable puppy was undeterred, escaping the second he saw an opportunity. Then it was off to the playground where the bigger dogs were hanging out.

Showing no fear, the puppy looks so tiny in comparison to the other dogs, especially Sasha, who towers over him. She immediately is enamored by the little pup and takes him under her wing, seemingly assigning herself as his guardian. Some of the other dogs also come to check out the little spitfire to see what he is all about.
Fortunately, for the puppy, the bigger dogs are willing to accept him. This is not always the case in such situations, and a smaller dog can get hurt by the larger dogs, even if it’s unintentional. Some recommend only allowing small dogs to play with other dogs that are their size.
Everyone loved the adorable, little puppy
The shelter decided to post the adorable video of the little guy approaching the bigger dogs. So far, the video has gotten over 4.8 million views on YouTube as the little puppy’s can-do attitude has endeared him to millions online.
The MuttShack Animal Rescue
The MuttShack Pet Adoptions works with low-income families in communities in California to provide help with dealing with their momma dogs and any unplanned or unwanted pregnancies. It does this by providing natal care, vaccinations, and spaying/neutering services.
