They say that kids grow up so fast. One minute, you’re cradling them, and the next they’re moving out for college. But these 10-month-olds tried to move out way sooner than any other kids!

When babies learn to crawl, they learn to get into all kinds of trouble. After all, they gain the ability to reach hazards that were previously inaccessible. And the problem only gets worse as babies grow into toddlers.

The mother of the two twins in this story thought that she’d done a good job of babyproofing the home. She was wrong.

The baby gates, socket plugs and cupboard jammers were in place. But the two daring babies just saw these as challenges.

In particular, they wanted to get through the baby gate and explore the world beyond it.

So they kept on watching mom and dad use the gate, and, when they thought no one was watching, they attempted to operate the gate themselves.

The boy twin crawled up to the gate and stood up. He managed to lift the catch slowly but determinedly.

The girl twin saw this and crawled over, realizing that now was their opportunity for freedom.

Eventually, the boy was able to swing the gate open. As fast as they could, they crawled through the gate.

Their Mom told them that they weren’t supposed to be back there. So they realized that they had to really make a break for it.

They both crawled incredibly fast down the corridor beyond.

To maximize their chances of escape, the babies split up. One crawled into an open door while the other kept on heading down the corridor.

The mom then caught up to the babies and foiled their daring bid for freedom. She realized that she’d have to get a bigger gate!

Luckily, the mother was filming the entire thing. She uploaded the footage to YouTube, where it has made quite an impact.

To date, the video has gained over 700,000 views. It also has more than 8,700 likes.

And this wasn’t the babies’ only botched escape attempt.

Another video shows the one of the babies trying to get out of their crib only to end up doing backflip onto the mattress.

There’s no denying that these videos are adorable, but they also make you realize how hard parenting is when people have twins.

There are two danger prone little monsters to keep an eye on, and it’s impossible to keep track of them both all the time! Just think, most parents have a hard time staying on top of one child. Two of the same age are literally double the trouble. At least most parents of multiple children are able to space out their child-raising responsibilities by a minimum of nine months!

But there’s one thing that the mother in this video can be happy about: she’ll never struggle to tell her babies apart.

Thanks to one twin being a boy and the other being a girl, they’re instantly distinguishable, no matter how worn out you are from their escape attempts.
