Lilyana knew that she wasn’t allowed to touch the dog’s food, but she did it anyway. Yet she told a very different story.

You don’t need to be a child psychologist to know that kids love doing what they aren’t allowed to do. Lilyana is no different.

Whenever her parents poured out the dog food, she tried to swipe some. The first time, her parents calmly told her that the food wasn’t for people, just for their dog, Jude. But the little girl didn’t believe them. After all, the food just looked so yummy!

So when her parents’ backs were turned, she’d try and get her hands on some of that delicious dog food. If Jude loved it so much, then it must be good, she reckoned.

But the dog always alerted the parents to what Lilyana was doing. One morning, the parents caught her literally picking up the food. She had no way to deny that she was breaking the rules, or so the parents thought.

Lilyana kept on denying that she was touching the dog food, even though the parents had seen her do just that.

“Yes, you did touch the food,” Lilyana’s mom stated.

“Nnnnnnnnno, I didn’t touch the food,” Lilyana replied.

After more back and forth like this, the mom tried a different tactic. “Were you playing in Jude’s food?” she asked.

Still, Lilyana replied with more, “Nnnnooo, I did not touch the food,” statements.

Soon, Lilyana’s mother couldn’t stop herself from laughing. Lilyana was in trouble, but she was charming herself out of it nonetheless!

Then Lilyana’s dad backed the mom up. She had been touching Jude’s food, no matter how much she denied it.

The dad then told Lilyana not to yell at him. Naturally, this just made Lilyana yell louder.

Lilyana’s mom had been filming the argument up until this point. But she cut the video there, knowing that there’d be no resolution.

This footage then appeared on YouTube, where it resonated with many people. To date, it has gained over 50,000 views. It also has more than 350 likes and dozens of comments. People have been saying things like this:

Clearly, Lilyana’s parents have their work cut out for them. Most kids are rebellious, but Lilyana is something else!

However, there is some good news for Lilyana’s parents. According to Psychology Today, kids who break the rules are more likely to become rich when they grow up.

The article cites a Developmental Psychology study that took place over 40 years. In 1968, the study selected and examined a group of 12-year-olds. Then, in 2008, the publication located those children to see what had become of them. Apparently, the kids who were rule-breakers had gone on to earn the most money as adults.

So if you have a child who just won’t follow the rules, you should be happy. Yes, they’re annoying now. But when they grow up, there’s a good chance that they’ll be wealthy, meaning that they’ll look after you financially, hopefully.
