Most parents are aware that their older children are role models for younger ones. Whatever an older brother or a sister sets their eye on, youngsters have to try too!

Does that sound familiar? Yes, we know how it goes.

LJ and Shia Wilson are a brother and sister from Southern California who can’t keep their little hands off the drums. The Wilsons are doing this right. They’ve introduced their children to the world of music, and now the proud parents can watch them develop together. The adorable kiddos squabble, of course, but they usually let a drum battle decide the winner.

In this video, watch how this little firecracker is doing all that she can to match her brother’s skills.

It’s absolutely heartwarming!

Parents Justin and Shelana Wilson manage the family’s YouTube account called Wilson World, where they’ve already garnered 250,000 subscribers.

Not only are they regularly posting the most interesting content, Shelana and Justin are also involved in making music with their children too. Wilson is an engineer by day, but he’s also a Grammy Award-winning musician by night. His wife Shelana is an educational psychologist and a terrific singer.

Together, they’ve simply dragged their children into an awesome story of family music-making. Their son Justin II, better known as Baby Boy Drummer, is a 6-year-old drumming prodigy.

“You. Me. Studio! Now!”

The video description reveals that little Shia didn’t really come up to her older brother and challenge him like that, but it would have been a lot of fun if she did. We love seeing such devoted parents.

Baby Shia’s got some amazing skills, and she’s lucky that her mom and dad took the time to observe her interests and support her development. Remember that she’s only 2, but she’s got the groove – and her passion is priceless!

“I play for mommy,” says Shia, and proceeds to drum like a little pro

Shia saying that she’s playing for mommy is probably the cutest intro you’ve heard in a while. Then the music goes on, and the whole family performs “Hold On.”

The screen splits into four parts.

In the upper corner, you can see the mom singing like an angel. The father is playing a keyboard and LJ is drumming. The best part is that Little Justin is not jealous of his sister. She’s not stealing his spotlight, and he’s happy to share it with her.

Both children can feel the music and keep the tempo amazingly well.

Little Justin has practiced a lot and it shows. Interestingly, Shia doesn’t let herself fall behind, and it looks like she’s determined to make everyone proud. We must also point out that their dad is a versatile musician and an exceptional pianist.

A talented family that enjoys playing music together. Does it get any better than that?

Whenever Shia hears the “Hold On” part of the song, she holds the drumstick without moving.

The video was published in June 2020. It’s more than half a year old, and it’s gotten more than 400k views. We took a look at the comments section, and people love this family. Shia got a lot of compliments for her drumming.
