Imagine this dog’s sheer horror when all of a sudden, water started raining up instead of down. Luckily, her toddler sister showed her that this “new rain” was nothing to be scared of.

Dogs live in and have to make sense of the human world.

Of course, most of the time, that means getting treats for doing simple things like sitting down. So dogs don’t complain.

Still, you have to wonder what dogs think of some of the things that we take for granted.

For instance, how do dogs think cars work? Do they think that elevators are magical teleporters? And what about the invention that literally turns mother nature on her head, the sprinkler?

The German Shepherd in this video sure was freaked out when she saw a sprinkler in her yard for the first time.

A single spout of rain shooting into the sky? Clearly, this needed to be treated with caution, thought the dog.

But then something horrifying happened. The dog’s human toddler little sister ran up and put her hand on the sprinkler.

The dog was so worried. She loved her little sister so much. But all that happened was that the spout of water stopped spraying upwards, and everyone around got splashed.

The dog was still worried for her sister’s safety, so the dog walked up to the girl, gave her a kiss and stood between her and the sprinkler.

Then the dog started biting at the spout of water, trying to eliminate the threat. After four or five bites, the sprinkler was still spurting out gallons of water. But the dog was still determined to fight it, so she ran further down the yard, to where the water was landing.

She then tried biting at the water further down the spray stream. But the water just wouldn’t stop flowing.

Eventually, the dog came up with another plan. She would try and push the water back down the spout. So she ran close to the sprinkler device, opened her mouth and pushed forward into the water. Still, the water refused to back down.

But the dog was determined to eliminate the threat. She kept on attacking the water until she got tired out, much to the amusement of her family.

Luckily, the dog and toddler’s mom was filming the entire thing. She then uploaded the footage to YouTube, where it has made quite an impression. To date, the video has gained over 550,000 views.

Anyone who thinks that German Shepherds are mean spirited dogs needs to watch this video. Sure, German Shepherds can look intimidating, but really, they’re amazing animals.

The dog in the video is so loyal to her family. She literally attempted to save them all, without thinking about how she could be putting herself in danger whatsoever.

Soon, the dog in the video learned that sprinklers weren’t anything to be afraid of. Now she loves playing with them.
