Toddler holds baby sister for the first time and serenades her with "What a Wonderful World"

Introducing a newborn baby to his or her sibling isn’t easy. There’s the fear of triggering jealousy, rivalry, and even feelings of neglect. This is one good reason why parents should work hard in preparing their older kids for the arrival of the newest member of the family.

A toddler went viral for his precious reaction to his baby sister.

Instead of feeling jealous and sad, he was actually full of love and tenderness. He was so charmed by his new sister.

In the viral video, the boy can be seen cradling the infant.

He was holding her in his arms as if she was the best thing that happened to him. He was looking at her with so much awe, love, and care.

Then, he started singing.

He sang “A Wonderful World” and it was the perfect song to sing to his little sister. The boy didn’t focus on the lyrics or how he was singing the song. He was completely focused on the infant he was holding.

Surprisingly, the little girl was smiling at his brother.

There’s no way a newborn could understand the lyrics. However, for some reason, she was smiling at the toddler as if she’s able to understand every word he’s singing. The people who’ve seen the video couldn’t be convinced otherwise.

One of them said:

“Ohhhh, how precious is this?! Sheโ€™s so content and smiling at her big brother, heโ€™s rubbing her little hands so gently. My eyes are leaking from the pure love shown between them.”

Another one commented:

“That bond will never be broken. This is beyond cute this is beautiful WOW.”

A lot of people were amazed at the way the toddler treated the infant.

It’s probably the product of their parents’ hard work. The toddler was clearly raised well. His parents did an awesome job preparing him for their encounter, too.

Children will react to their new siblings based on their age. Toddlers, in general, do not clearly understand what it means to have a new sibling. This makes it important for parents to talk about the new member of the family and let their excitement rub off on them.

Reassurance is important at this point because toddlers will not understand why their parents will be spending less time with them. It also helps to make them involved in the preparation stage. Allow them to complete small tasks if possible.

Let them spend time with their dads. Parents should also allow their kids to spend more time with their grandparents. Do something special for them. It will make them feel loved and less jealous of their new sibling.

This is what the world needs now.
