Most toddlers struggle to walk with ease, hence why they’re called “toddlers.” But Brynn Cartagena can do much more than just walk!

Ice skating is an amazingly graceful sport. But everyone knows that it takes many, many years of practice, unless you’re Brynn Cartagena.

Brynn Cartagena was just three years old when she performed in the Magnolia Open Ice Skating Competition.

It involves dedication and skill to be a competitive ice skater. And most three-year-olds, while amazing in their own way, are just too young to skate like a pro. After all, they’re only three!

But Brynn has always been incredibly advanced for her age. And when her mom took her ice skating for the first time, she was amazed that her daughter could hold her own on the ice.

So Brynn kept on skating and, amazingly, she was good enough to perform in competitions.

So Brynn’s mother entered her child into the Magnolia Open.

When the day came, Brynn wasn’t even nervous. She was just excited to show off in front of the crowd.

She skated away from her mother and into the middle of the rink.

The crowd was already cheering the child on. She waved to the crowd.

Then she got into position and waited for the music to start. The song The Muffin Man by Little Genius started playing.

The song started. Brynn held her arms out and started skating forward while holding her arms out.

She held her arms above her head and then touched her toes while still skating forward.

Her next trick was twisting around and skating backward to the song.

She went back to skating forwards and did several spins.

Then she returned to her starting position, the routine completed. The crowd let out a huge cheer.

The performance was so good that the judges decided to award her first place out of the six kids in that competition. All of the other kids were older than Brynn!

Luckily, someone in Brynn’s family was filming the performance. Brynn’s mother then uploaded it to her YouTube channel, where it made a major impact.

In no time at all, the video had gained hundreds of thousands of views. To date, it has managed to achieve just over 800,000 views. It also has over 6,400 likes and 300 comments. People have been saying things like this:

If Brynn is this good at the age of three (and after just two months of practice) imagine how good she’ll be when she grows up!

Nine months after her prize-winning performance at the Magnolia Open, Brynn competed professionally again at Winterfest Skate. She was now four years old, and she’d learned a lot.

This time, she was dressed up as Snow White and skated to the Disney song Whistle While You Work.

In just a small amount of time, Brynn had really improved. She was skating much faster and moving with so much more confidence.

Hopefully, Brynn will retain her passion for skating as she grows up. She could become the greatest skater of all time at this rate!
