Mom taken aback at toddler’s hilarious “defense” when confronted about touching the dog food

As a kid, the fear of being scolded by mom and dad is indeed terrifying.

But no matter how much we fear being caught, our curiosity can still be too great to resist.

Toddlers, even though they can’t talk in full sentences yet, know when they are in trouble.

This toddler was prepared for it.

Of course, it’s just natural for kids to try and avoid being scolded, no matter what.

At their age, there’s only one thing that a toddler can do to avoid being scolded, and that’s to deny the accusations.

Deny, deny, deny.

Of course, this won’t work when you’ve been caught red-handed, but listening to a toddler deny what’s obvious is simply hilarious.

A video from Jacksonville, Florida went viral when an adorable toddler tried her best to deny her parents ‘accusations’ that she touched the dog’s food.

In the quick clip, we see the cute 21-month-old girl named Lilyana.

We can hear the little girl throwing a mild fit because her parents insist she touched their pet dog’s food.

Did she do it?

Not according to her.

So, did she touch the dog food or not?

Lilyana still can’t talk fluently, but that didn’t stop her from defending herself, and her strategy was very simple.

Repeat her statement until they believe.

There was just one problem with the entire ordeal… her parents, Sarah and Tim, saw her touch the dog food.

“The argument started because earlier when I was doing dishes, Lilyana came over and almost touched a sharp knife so my husband told her not to touch it and she said she didn’t touch it,” Sarah, Lilyana’s mom told in an interview with Daily Mail.

Looking for something else to play with, she started touching other stuff.

She was up to no good.

Soon, her attention shifted to the dog’s food bowl.

Lilyana grabbed some of the dog’s food but little did she know, two pair of eyes were watching her.

Sarah asked her to stop.

That’s when the “disagreement” started.

The little girl wasn’t about to give up that easily. She gave her parents a defensive yet angry look.

“No!” Lilyana said.

Then came the gibberish.

We may not completely understand her sentence, but we know she’s saying she didn’t touch the food.

No matter how many times Sarah and Tim tried to tell her they saw her do it, she would raise her voice and deny the accusations.

It’s really one cute fit that we have ever seen.

We love how feisty Lilyana is.

We also love the fact that she tried to face dad and convince him she didn’t touch the food.

Unfortunately, dad sided with mom and told the toddler that he, too, saw what she did.

Oh, no! There’s no use denying the crime when you’ve been caught red-handed, right?

Her dad even presented some evidence.

But still, Lilyana won’t budge.

No matter how many times Sarah and Tim told her they saw her, she didn’t admit it.

“What 21-month-old doesn’t try? She figured out that we were teasing her, and she was being funny, so she kept it going on that she didn’t touch the food,” recalled Sarah.
