Baby triplets “face off” during mealtime, embarking on adorably epic race to their bottles
Parenting requires a lot of attention – an exhausting amount of attention. And that’s just for ONE kid.
Imagine having triplets to entertain and contain all day!
Whoa, momma!
You can blame a parent for injecting a little fun into the day – and maybe putting it on YouTube (depending on how funny and wholesome it is)?
That’s precisely what mom Vanessa did in 2012 when she was home with her baby boys and got an idea.
Bored Daddy reports that the little guys’ names are Brandon, Christian, and Aiden – and apparently they love their bottle time!
So one day, mom decided to set up a little competition for them (heck, siblings are competitive anyway). Of course, there were no losers in this game, only one who got there first.
She set up three bottles at the end of a cushy, carpeted hallway and the tots sat ready at the other end.
Then she set them off in a race towards their prizes!
One of them was particularly motivated, though we don’t know what this little guy’s name is – we just know he’s hungry!
Of course, with three boys, this could have headed off the rails quickly. But mom was there the whole time to keep watch and there are no stairs nearby.
It’s just a bit of fun in what is no doubt a busy day trying to keep three baby boys stimulated and entertained at the same time.
A few seconds in, we’ve clearly identified today’s Athlete of the Day and runner-up. (The third baby is obscured behind the one in the dark pajamas for a second.)
He’s got a winner’s look in his eyes as he army crawls towards his bottle.
If this were basic training, he’d be acing that part of the obstacle course!
The winner gets his prize and, like any baby, manhandles the other prizes a bit as well. After all, he’s not really sure what this game is about or who wins or what the prize is.
He just knows it’s time for a bottle.
The other two eventually catch up while the winner examines his trophy.
He’s not quite interested in drinking it yet because, as a baby, is anything really ready to put in your mouth until you’ve rubbed it all over the floor?
So let’s just say he’s still preparing his meal while he waits for the rest of his siblings.
In the end, everyone is still happy and ready for mealtime as they sit around and ponder what that was all about.
Now, if you think 45 seconds of baby racing isn’t any fun to watch, you’ll need to take that up with the millions of people who have already seen it. In fact, the video has been viewed over 44 million times since it was posted in 2012!
And it’s not the only baby race video out there – as is usually the case, there were copycat races around the world, babies racing one another in epic fashion, some more competitive than others!
Not all races involve a meal, some are just good old-fashioned family fun – and some involve toys (which is a more dangerous prospect, especially for the parents who are bound to hear some displeasure when there are winners and losers).
But, hey, to each their own.
