Who doesn’t love the Rocky movies? While not normally being known as “cute,” there is something especially adorable about some special actors on set.

Cuff and Link are the famous turtles that were featured in the 1976 film, Rocky! The now-famous turtles were adopted Sylvester Stallone during the filming process and he has kept them ever since.

Cuff and Link have turned over forty-four under the special care of their boxing buddy.

The amphibious actors are responsible for quite a lot! We may not have the famous line of Rocky shouting “Adrian!” if they weren’t involved in the love scene.

The pet store where Adrian worked was a great neutral ground for the tough Rocky to show his softer side. In flirtatious moments disguised as trips for turtle food, we see the famous relationship blossom into cinematic history. Cuff and Link may have been responsible for the “cuffing” of Rocky!

Cuff and Link may have opened the heart of the ruff and tough Rocky.

Who doesn’t need a friend to help get a relationship going sometimes? While not playing any major acting role, they have been remembered by many as a great addition to a classic film.

Veteran Actors

Many consider it lucky to have made it in a single hit movie, while Cuff and Link have made it into two. Making an appearance in the spin-off sequel, Creed II, they have officially become veteran film stars. They are hidden in the back during a dinner scene at Rocky’s house. Make sure you keep a lookout for them while watching!

Possible Metaphor?

Is there a hidden metaphor between Cuff, Link, and Rocky? Rocky is seen as a tough man, both physically and mentally. Whether he’s repeatedly taking a beating from an opponent, or facing hardship in his life, he is always seen as being iron-like.

One key feature of the movie, however, is his continued softness of heart. Rocky may seem to be invincible on the outside, but inside he is soft and gentle, just like a turtle. Maybe Cuff and Link show who Rocky really is, a man who seems hard on the outside, but is kind and enduring on the inside.

Stallone updated the world recently on his Instagram, showing off his longtime friends.

His caption read:

“In CREED 2 with my original buddies from the first Rocky … CUFF and LINK, now about 44 years old!”

Still Loved
