Why twins have this special bond?

First and foremost, twins are kind of rare. In 2017, about 33 out of 1000 births were twins in the United States. This is according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Another interesting thing about them is that twins begin bonding even while they are inside their mother’s womb. This is according to Everyday Health. It was observed by some researchers from the University of Padova in Italy when they studied 3D ultrasound videos of five sets of twins in the womb. They noticed how the twins reach out with each other. They particularly noticed these gestures from the babies when they were 14 weeks old and had more fascinating physical contact in the 18th week.

ā€œWhen the fetuses were just 14 weeks old, the researchers noticed that the pairs seemed to be reaching out for each other, touching head to head and arm to head. At 18 weeks, they were stroking each other more often and were in physical contact about 30 percent of the time. Even more phenomenal, the fetuses seemed to be extra gentle when touching around their siblings’ eyes (likely because this area is so delicate, the researchers posit).ā€

They also added that twins interact with each other even they are newborns.

This could be the reason why these cute little babies look so close to each other. They just have this strong bond!

It is great that their cute conversation was captured on camera – and it has been giving happiness to many people on social media. For sure many of the viewers tapped the replay button plenty of times. I’m guilty!

Some commenters even left some comments in their adorable video and some of them hilariously interpreted the little ones’ conversation.

ā€œYou have a nose! It’s like MY nose,ā€ one commenter wrote.

Another one expressed how delighted he got upon seeing the short clip.

ā€œThat may be the most heartwarming thing I’ve ever witnessed,ā€ he wrote.
