After a while, they called out for their father, but he didn’t respond. His eyes were closed and he was bleeding terribly.

The young girls knew that it was down to them to get help.

They couldn’t open the doors of the car, but the back window had been broken in the crash. So they crawled out, shoeless and cold. The looked-up the ravine and didn’t hesitate to start climbing it.

They reached the top of the ravine and called out desperately.

Eventually, a car passed down the road, and the driver saw the two toddlers. The car stopped, and the driver got out.

The driver asked the children what they were doing out on the side of the road. They started crying for their daddy and pointed into the ravine. The driver looked down and saw the wreck of the car.

So the driver put the girls in her car, to keep them warm and called 911.

The police and an ambulance turned up. When the paramedics reached the wrecked car, they saw that Corey had not been wearing a seatbelt. They checked his vital signs and found nothing. Pretty soon, they realized that Corey was beyond help and pronounced him dead.

The paramedics took the girls to the hospital. The doctors discovered that they had only received some minor injuries thanks to being strapped into their seats.

This just goes to show why it is so important for people to wear seatbelts. If the father had been wearing his seatbelt, he would probably still be alive today and would know about his daughters’ bravery.

It just shows that everyone should wear their seatbelts, if not for themselves, then for the people that love them.

Hopefully, the twins will have plenty of support from the rest of their family.
