Cat overlooked at shelter because of her unique face but woman falls in love

If you’re looking for the world’s most worried cat, this probably is it.

Fransisca Franken has always loved cats. However, with rules and other perceived needs, she was forced to give up her cat.

Soon enough she found a way to move to a bigger place. This enabled Franken to get a cat that she’ll shower her love on.

She was looking for a cat when she stumbled upon Bean.

It was love at first sight when she saw the kitten. If it was because of her unique looks or something else entirely, that question was asked to Franken.

Bean had this eternally worried expression. Her brows seemed furrowed like she has been thinking about rent or if she turned the stove off when she left home.

The shelter told Franken that Bean had a hard time looking for a forever home because she looked “grumpy” and “ugly.” Franken thought otherwise.

Franken said was very conscious about owning a cat.

She acknowledged that it’s not just something you’d do for show. A good percentage of abandoned animals come from owners who were overwhelmed by the “sudden” responsibility of owning one.

Franken prepared herself and her place first before taking in Bean. And it was one of the best decisions she made.

She shared that she first laughed at how adorable Bean was.

“Well, at first I laughed because the pictures were so funny and I’d never seen a cat like this before.” She said to Bored Panda.

But despite her adorable face, Franken described her as a “real rough street gangster.” She also said how badly she wanted Bean.

Then, she finally received a call.

The first time they met was also the first time they went home together. Franken said that Bean immediately slept on her couch as if she has never slept properly before.

From that night since then, Bean has always slept beside her. She was even advised to keep Bean in one room to let her adjust but the cat quickly explored her new home.

“She was a little overly attached at first. She would not leave my side one second. I think it’s because she was afraid I would bring her back to the shelter if she wasn’t all cuddly and stuff,” she said to the Bored Panda.

With the safety Franken provided, Bean embraced her “diva personality.”

Franken shared that adopting Bean was the best thing that happened to her. While it entailed a lot of adjustments for her, especially schedule-wise, Franken wouldn’t trade it for anything.

She says one of the best parts is the fact that someone is waiting for her when she comes home from work.

She also listed her adorable behavior that made Franken think that Bean was some kind of alien. Bean doesn’t want tuna or cat milk but goes crazy for olives. She also screams at the Amazon guy but only him. For her, Bean doesn’t really know how to “cat” yet, but that’s okay.

Franken shared the importance of adopting.

She said that any budding pet owner should at least try to check their local shelters because there are a lot of animals who are just waiting for someone to love them.

Franken considers them to be a match made in heaven: “I believe it was meant to be that I found her because I couldn’t think of any cat more perfect for me.”
