Security camera captures UPS driver battling icy driveway to deliver package

When you order something online, someone’s got to spend time getting it to you. Delivery drivers are some of the most underappreciated people out there. They’ll travel miles and miles, rain or shine, just to make sure you get your package.
The folks delivering for Amazon, FedEx, UPS, and so on have their work cut out for them.
Driving from place to place just so we can all have the convenience of ordering things. Do you still feel like complaining about a trip to the grocery?

When weather conditions get rough, we all flock indoors and just order what we need.
Like I said, someone still has to bring it to you. It’s easy to take delivery drivers for granted when we barely have to step outside our homes.

This person had a package arrive during an ice storm. The air was biting cold and the roads were slippery with ice. Obviously, hitting the grocery wasn’t an option.
So delivery services had to work way more, whether they liked it or not.

When a job like this is how you pay the bills, then it only makes sense that you’ll take it seriously. Sometimes, very seriously.
The UPS driver arrives, and he knew the conditions would be bad.
Did he expect “I can’t even walk on the ground” bad? It’s hard to say. But that’s not going to stop him.

There may be absolutely no friction on the ground, but this person ordered a package and they’re certainly going to receive it.
First things first, the driver had to get out the van without getting hurt.
He cautiously set foot on the icy ground with his hand firmly gripping the vehicle for support. Can’t get the package there if the driver can’t even get out!

Luckily, he managed. It took a fair bit of effort, tough!
But there was still a good 20 feet between the package and the doorstep. The ground was way too slippery to make the rest of the trip on foot. It looks like he’s running out of options.

However, this driver’s a lot craftier than we think. The slippery ground that prevents him from walking might also be where the answer lies.
With just around 20 feet to go, the driver and the recipient right by the door hatch an idea. Just slide the package across the ice.
And I mean really slide it across the ice. Just be sure you can catch it. And hope it’s not fragile.
UPS guy bites the bullet and finally does it. He pushes the package across the ice, falling over as the package travels at a fair speed to its destination.

The recipient, who’s had his arms out this whole time, catches it perfectly.
It’s incredibly satisfying to watch. No wonder it has 36 million views. He even gives a cheeky thumbs up to the recipient. That’s a man dedicated to his job right there!

I think that UPS guy deserves a raise, and most people agree. Whoever he was, I hope he got it.
