Sloths are funny animals for several reasons. They look unusual and have the daily schedule that we all secretly desire. But this video proves that they’re also “haha” funny.

Lots of animals have cute babies. The internet is packed full of videos of cute puppies, cute kittens, even cute panda cubs. But it turns out that there’s one baby animal species that we’ve all been neglecting in terms of cuteness: the sloth!

That’s right. Baby sloths are cute and funny. That’s because while they like to hang around being adorable all day, they also like to interact with the people that come visit them.

One video really shows this off. It begins with the shot focusing on one tiny baby sloth hanging upside down. The sloth looks at the camera curiously and makes a strange whining noise.

It’s hard to put the noise into letters, but it’s like an “Aaeeh”. It also sounds a bit like a baby sheep baaing!

Then a second sloth comes on over to see what’s happening. This sloth also makes another strange “aeah” like noise.

Both of them have big round eyes and look super happy to be showing themselves off to the world!

The shot cuts to one of the baby sloths. He taps his hand and makes the noise again. It’s like he’s asking the person filming to hold his hand!

Later, a shot shows one of the sloths climbing along a pole upside down. He still periodically makes his cute noises.

Then a sloth keeps on trying to grab the camera with his long claws. He’s acting almost like a celebrity who is trying to get rid of the paparazzi!

Another sloth tries clawing at the camera and loses his grip. He falls back, but luckily, his foot claws are too firmly gripped for him to plummet to the ground.

This footage is on YouTube, where it has become a viral sensation.

To date, the video has gained over 15.5 million views. It also has more than 331,000 likes and 17,000 comments. People have been saying things like this:

Sloths really are strange animals. They’re the world’s slowest mammal, moving just six to eight feet every single minute. Because of their stillness, algae grows on their fur. They sleep between 15 to 20 hours a day.

There are also two different kinds of sloth, two-toed and three-toed.

If a sloth falls onto land, they’re in trouble. Their hind legs are weak, and their claws prevent them from moving easily. However, if they fall into water, then they’re in more luck. Sloths are very strong swimmers.

Sloths also are able to rotate their necks in ways that few other mammals can manage. In fact, they can turn their necks 270 degrees.

But of course, one of the most amazing things about sloths is just how cute they are as babies!
