Sometimes, all it takes is one funny picture to become a true sensation on the internet with hundreds of thousands of views. The iconic pair of Mitchell Miner and Audri have definitely amassed some online fame with their amazingly cute photo of them napping together.

The photo was taken shortly after a competition at the Iowa State Fair’s youth dairy cattle show.

Even though the 15-year-old Mitchell and his heifer haven’t won the number one spot in the competition, you could definitely say that they’ve won over the hearts of the internet.

Mitchell and Audri have been practicing for the dairy cattle show for the last two months, and they took it extremely seriously. For two months at a time, they prepared vigorously and practically spent their entire days with each other. As such, the bond between the teen and the cow started to grow and it didn’t take long before they were inseparable.

The 15-year-old boy was practically his caretaker for 24 hours a day: he’d walk with her, feed her, bathe her, play with her – you could definitely say that these two are big buddies.

For the last three days, they both woke up at 3 AM for the final repetitions and to go over their performance again.

Ultimately, they ended up in the fifth place of seven, but Mitchell and Aufri are happy with their performance.

When the Iowa State Fair’s youth dairy show was finally over, you can imagine that Mitchell felt relieved. Not only relieved but tired as well. Immediately after they performed, Mitchell and Aufri decided to just take a nap inside of a nearby barn.

And it’s definitely a sight to behold!

We can see the exhausted teen resting on the body of Aufri, who also adorable lays her head on top of Mitchell. It’s no surprise that this picture has taken the internet by storm.

Luckily, Mitchell’s dad Jeremy spotted them while they were taking their well-deserved nap. He shot the amazing picture and decided to post it on his Facebook.

The father didn’t expect, however, that the picture would go viral on Facebook. Even though the original picture has since been deleted on the social media platform, the post did get over 15,000 likes in less than twelve hours. It’s clear that the whole world absolutely loved it!

“Our son Mitchell and his heifer after showing yesterday,” the photo’s caption read.

In the comments section, dozens of people decided to leave behind supportive messages.

“Moooooooooove over you’re hogging the hay,” one of them told.

“That’s so sweet,” another commented.

After the picture went viral, Mitchell and Aufri made the local news.

“She likes to lay down quite a bit,” the 15-year-old teen told The Des Moines Register. “I don’t really understand the bond with my animal either.

“She just enjoys my company.”

“I was asleep. I think she was, too,” Mitchell said about the photo in question.

One thing is for sure: this photo and the special bond between this boy and his cow is absolutely adorable and precious. Mitchell’s mom Laura was also interviewed by The Des Moines Register and was more than happy to tell them why she thought that Mitchell and Aufri had such a great relationship together.

“I think it’s just when you spend that much time with them, they get really comfortable with you,” she said.

“We learned a lot from the farm,” he said. “We have those values instilled in us and we are trying to do what we can to preserve that.”
