From celebrating new babies to potlucks, you can’t go wrong with a trusty casserole.
In fact, if you’re following newer recipes that call for whole grains and vegetables, you’ll be doing your guests a huge favor by serving them. Such recipes offer health benefits, particularly if you’re using cancer-protective foods.
But here’s the thing: Even though casseroles seem easy to make, some people still mess them up. And if you happen to be one of them, don’t worry. There are tons of recipes you can use as a guide online.
One vegetable casserole recipe is making everyone excited on the internet.

Here’s a list of what you’ll need:
- 15 ml or 3 tablespoons of olive oil
- 8 grams or 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 kg of broccoli
- 1 red pepper
- 1 onion
- 3 long green peppers
- 1 tablespoon of milk
This casserole recipe wouldn’t be complete without the sauce. For that, you’ll need to prepare the following:
- 1 tablespoon of dill
- 10 grams or 1 packet of baking powder
- 8 grams or 1 teaspoon of salt
- 135 grams or 4 tablespoons of multi-purpose wheat flour
- 30 ml or 5 tablespoons of olive oil
- 3 eggs
- 400 ml or 2 cups of milk
For the toppings, make sure to have:
- 100 grams of cheddar cheese
Start by cutting the broccoli heads from the stem.
After doing that, you can fill a pot with water. Make sure there’s enough water in your pot to cover your broccoli.
In medium heat, place your pot and wait until it simmers.
Add the milk and salt before adding your broccoli.
Once it starts to boil, wait for another 7 to 8 minutes.
While you’re waiting for your broccoli to boil, you can start cooking the other ingredients in a different pan.
Saute the vegetables and add your olive oil.
Make sure to cook them until they are soft enough. Don’t overcook your ingredients.
Get a glass tray or baking tray and coat it with vegetable oil.
Once fully coated, you can start placing your cooked vegetables and broccoli in it. Mix everything and make sure that they’re properly distributed.
Now, it’s time for the sauce.
This part is quite easy. All you need to do is beat the eggs in a mixing bowl. Take the remaining ingredients and add them to the mixture. Continue mixing until you see no lumps.
Pour the sauce into your vegetables.
Make sure to spread it evenly. You can stir your sauce and vegetables to achieve that.
For the final touch, sprinkle the top with grated cheese.
Set the oven at 392 degrees Fahrenheit. Once it’s at the right temperature, you can cook your dish for about 25 minutes.
