In a hopeless place is where this lucky dog found genuine love and care.

Just over a week ago when animal rescuer Anna Igorevna received a call from a train station attendant. They received a report about a stranded dog under a concrete platform just beside the train tracks.

When they arrived at the scene, they found a helpless dog covered with dust and dirt. But unlike other dogs that show aggression during their time of rescue, this pooch is different.

His name is Vova and his life was about to change.

His first meeting with rescuer Anna was the start of his new life. According to Anna, the rescued dog even tried to get up, sadly, he couldn’t because of its condition.

Though he looked pretty weak, the dog still welcomed the rescuers with his bright eyes and a smile. He didn’t show any sign of fright or discomfort.

The kind rescuers, particularly Anna, immediately felt the vibrant aura from Vova. It almost looked like he knew that he was about to be rescued from that dangerous and gloomy place.

The poor pooch couldn’t walk and he was really in a bad shape.

Although there’s no telling how long he’s been crouching beside the train tracks. It’s pretty obvious that he needed immediate medical attention and a complete health diagnosis.

While Vova was in the car, he couldn’t help but cry. He was whining and howling like a baby. It’s like he released all the sorrow and pain inside him. It must’ve been really hard for him and it was the first time in a long time since he last felt love and care.

Upon arriving at the veterinarian, they weren’t ready with what they saw.

Vova’s XRAY results showed far worse than what they expected. The poor furry had a severely injured spinal cord, making him unable to stand and walk properly. The vet also pointed out that aside from the broken spine, Vova had spasms in his intestines and it could bring far more danger to his health.

He had to take in a lot of painkillers but the dog didn’t bother. He didn’t know what was going on but he was willing to cooperate. He was smart enough to know that he’d benefit from all of it.

Vova’s recovery was slow but Anna and the rest of the people helping him are not giving up just yet.

Days of treatment passed and the dog’s health had finally stabilized. He’s really a fighter and didn’t give up just like his rescuers. However, he still has a long way to go. His spine needed to be reshaped first so he could be in a wheelchair.

They must transfer him to another vet to give him another type of treatment – acupuncture.

Anna took Vova home first, and it was his first time again to bathe.

Woah! That must’ve felt so refreshing, did it, Vova?

They didn’t waste any moment, after a few days, they went to give Vova his next treatment. His acupuncture was done by a well-known doctor and it helped the dog recover, particularly its injured spine.

Eventually, his spine became straighter and more fit for a wheelchair. Then little by little, Vova can finally posture up much better.

He also met a lot of friends in his journey to recovery, both dogs and humans.

There’s simply a radiant aura coming from Vova that attracts both species. Everyone that he met found themselves falling in love with this gentle furball. It’s safe to say that meeting friends along the way also helped him recuperate from everything.

At first, he didn’t feel comfortable walking with support wheels behind him. But with the help of Anna, he soon learned how to get used to it.

With the help of doctors, Anna, and many others, Vova eventually learned to let go of the wheelchair and started walking on his own again.

Above everything else, it was Vova’s fighting spirit, positive outlook, and desire to live normally again which propelled him to true healing. It’s also thanks to Anna who did everything she could to make everything possible for the rescued dog.

Vova can be a role model not only to animals but also to humans who are also going through the same challenge in life. This dog with a “never give up” attitude moved mountains and did a miracle that not even science could explain.
