Weatherman’s segment interrupted by “adoptable dog” who quickly steals the show

People often say that children and dogs steal the show, and we cannot help but agree with that statement.

You see, whenever a child or a canine appears on a TV show, or even on the street, the moment suddenly becomes much more interesting.

Some things are less interesting, like the weather.

Well, this is not to imply that the weather forecast is not an interesting segment in the news.

Especially when it involves extreme temperatures, like the July heat in Houston, it is definitely worth watching. But let’s face it.

Dogs trump the weather forecast.

Everyone would turn their heads if a pup made its appearance while the weatherman was on set.

Indeed, this is exactly what happened here.

KPRC 2 channel’s Khambrel Marshall, meteorologist and host of Houston Newsmakers, was on set informing Houston residents about the upcoming heatwave.

As the man was explaining how the heatwave was going to affect the cities of Texas in the following days, he noticed something white and furry walking right by him.

A stranger came to say ‘hello’.

The dog was scheduled to appear in the next segment about “Adoptable Pets”, but, apparently, he had gotten quite bored of the wait.

He walked around the studio.

In fact, Rachel McAlister, the volunteer who was accompanying the dog, was sitting near the weather set.

As the woman set the dog down for a second to adjust her microphone, the cute canine seized the opportunity to get more attention than originally planned.

Marshall gained a sidekick.

When Marshall saw him, he was more than happy to share the segment with him.

So, he picked him up and showed him what the weather would be like during the next few days.

The pup, whose name is Angel, didn’t seem uncomfortable at all. On the contrary, he seemed to enjoy the extra moments he had to shine.

Marshall, thanks to his new canine friend, didn’t miss the chance to remind pet owners to have plenty of clean water for their furry friends.

“Make sure you keep your pets inside and keep clean water for you guys. Right, you want that?” he said to Angel.

The video exploded.

In less than no time, the video had gained nearly 400k views.

People loved the duo.

They adored the way Angel interrupted the weatherman so that he could join him in his segment.

Viewers couldn’t stop praising Marshall for the way he treated the dog.

“What a champ. You can read animal lover all over him, in his gentle tone of voice and sweet demeanor. Much Respect” someone wrote.

It was time for Angel’s segment.

Right after the weather forecast, it was time for Marshall to introduce Angel to the public.

He explained he was up for adoption and the volunteer from the Houston Humane Society said that he was one year old.

He had been surrendered because his former owner had moved to a new place where pets were not allowed.

Possibly because of the extra time he had on the show, he was soon adopted.

Unfortunately, he had to be returned to the shelter because he didn’t get along with the cat the new owners already had.

Still, it didn’t take long for him to find a new forever home.
