It also enjoyed the recognition as one of the most streamed shows of 2022 on Netflix. Is there not to love in this spin-off? Apparently, Ortega kind of regrets something.
In an interview, Ortega admitted her regrets about a certain dance.
ETâs Nischelle Turner spoke with the actress on the Golden Globes red carpet event where she described the impact of the show on her life.
She humbly deflected being called a âphenomenonâ but admitted that the show has caused âshiftsâ in her life.

She also found herself in the midst of viral campaigns, especially on Tiktok where they reenacted one of the things she regretted the most.
Ortega said that she didnât expect for her iconic dance to be viral.
The dance, which she helped choreograph, was performed by fans around the world, which included singer-songwriter and pop icon Lady Gaga.
“Even that I still can’t believe because even that was — some of the moves I had planned, some of it was improv. That was one of the scenes I stay awake thinking about because I thought there was so much that I could have done and should have done,” she said during the red carpet-interview.
She also revealed that she was sick with COVID when they were filming the scene. She described the feeling as awful because she had body aches all over and that it felt like there was a âlittle goblinâ scratching her throat.
And while her fame has occupied social media, Ortega wanted to keep it low-key.
More than the added scrutiny and access to her life, Ortega simply said that social media can be a bad place to be in.

“No, I can’t be on TikTok. I can’t do any of that stuff,” she said in the interview. “I think good or bad, it’s probably not a healthy place to be.”
She also was extremely grateful to the cast and crew, especially when she shared that she was still friends with her co-stars even after the show.
