Man thought house looked normal from the outside, then he stepped in and things got weird
Looking for a house can definitely feel overwhelming.
There are just so many things to consider before making such an investment — neighborhood, location, amenities, floor plan, and of course, money!
Even the decor is something to take in consideration, particularly if you’re strapped for cash. Renovating isn’t cheap, you know!
On the other hand, there is so much that is exciting about it. You just never know what you’re going to get on the next house you click on. After all, there’s nothing like finding the perfect house.
But on your search, you’re sure to come across some… interesting places.
That is exactly what Twitter user, @frazierapproves discovered when he was searching for a new home.
He found the listing on Zillow after stumbling across it on a local Reddit page. The house is located where he lives, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
In an interview with Bored Panda, he described parts of the home.
“The first surprise came with the photos of the backyard. Not only is the yard larger than one would suspect, but swimming pools are exceedingly rare in this region, due to the hilly topography and small window of summer-like temperatures.”
But once he began looking at photos of the house’s interior, things took quite a turn.
Then again, would you expect anything less with a description that mentions, “time travel,” and a “talking space alien?”
The living room resembles the inside of a cabin. The floor is hardwood and the decor looks dated. There are traces of animal (or perhaps, animal-like) coverings on the furniture and an animal rug on a carpet.
However, things start to get pretty interesting with the gigantic wall mural of outer space. Not to mention, the full on spaceship theme in several of the houses rooms.
The fun interior features all sorts of decor that mirror a spaceship. The ceiling appears to be covered in aluminum foil and a makeshift doorway is surrounded by black and yellow tape.
There’s even a meeting table in the middle of the room to discuss defensive tactics in case you’re ever under attack.
Oh yeah, there really is a space alien to keep you company if your crew ever decides to abandon ship.
The kitchen is a mix of spaceship decor as well but has a futuristic feel in that it is incredibly white and bare. However, there’s quite a bit of glass and what appears to be steel.
But the tour isn’t over yet!
There’s an area of a room where the floor is covered in rocks and sand. A blue sky with trees and more sand is painted on the wall. Also, there are plants and other beach gear surrounding the perimeter to make for an interesting day at the beach.
And if you can’t get enough of plants, the bathroom walls are completely covered them. Frankly, there isn’t any wall left!
“Each successive photo reveals another genre-themed room, with an increasing level of commitment. It’s like a miniature amusement park or a home-sized movie studio. It is simply the most amazing home I have ever seen,” @frazierapproves said.
But the question that is on everyone’s mind, did he buy it?
“So that house isn’t for me, but if I had the money, I would scoop it up to use as a retreat/party/clubhouse, without changing a thing… aside from tossing the creepy robot.”
Currently, the house is officially off the market. Some lucky person bought it for $152,500.
Would you buy this house?
