Being in a partnership with another person you love and care for comes with plenty of sacrifices… healthy sacrifices that is. After years and years of marriage, things can become a bit mundane so it’s important for couples to keep things interesting after a while. As for this couple Joanne and Jim Sterling from Washington, they switched up their usual chores around the house.

Meet The Sterling’s

After 45 years Joanne decided to change things up in their household so she asked Jim to start making the bed. Little did Joanne know Jim’s bed making skills were all out of whack, resulting in lots of belly laughter.

Snoring On Chores

Making the bed can be a meticulous morning after morning dressing the bed up just to jump right into it com bedtime. The bed-making chore is simply unamusing and some even refuse to do something so “pointless” when they’re just going to mess it up later. As for Jim, there were no ifs, ands, or buts, with his wife’s request, he was going to have to start tidying up the bed every morning.

Getting Innovative

That’s exactly what Jim did… he made the bed, but in a much more creative way!

Joanna posted on Facebook sharing their little story and just how ridiculous Jim’s bed-making skills are. She wrote on Facebook saying,

“After 45 years Jim is in charge of making the bed every morning. I don’t think he knows what to do with the extra pillows.”

The picture is absolutely hysterical as it’s obvious that Jim was going to make his new household chore interesting. Jim stacked all the pillows on top of one another, giving his wife Joanne a big laugh.

The Infamous Pillow Organization

This was only the beginning of Jim’s marvelous bed-making chronicles. Jim’s bed-making became more and more bizarre and Joanne shared every design onto Facebook where everyone else got to laugh along with her. Jim would do a lovely job with the sheets and comforter, making sure everything was in order, but when it came to the pillows he would make all sorts of crazy designs.

Hysterical Arrangements

Jim would stack all of the pillows in the middle of the bed, making some sort of pillow tower while the rest of the bed was perfectly in place. He even switched the sleeping arrangements by putting the pillows at the foot of the bed.

Switch Up

All of that bed-making can get rather tiresome, so a strike was in order and Jim took a break from his masterminded chore. Joanne documented all sorts of hilarious surprises she found when she walked into their bedroom.

Not Feelin It Today

This hysterical twist on this household chore didn’t just end with pillow diorama’s, Jim started using props! He brought out their sheep stuffed animal collection making them all cozied up against the pillows.

Bring In The Props

Jim even brought in some yard flamingo decor for the bed, leaving Joanne baffled at how creative Jim was getting with this simple task.

Jim even created a home for their Mr. Bill doll which took a lot more effort than just simply throwing the pillows on the bed.

Some Serious Skills

The Sterling’s definitely aren’t bored by any means and they’re keeping those household chores exciting. Just goes to show it’s the little things in life that make life a blast!
