Jane asked her husband to get a makeover. And he said he’d only do it if she had a makeover, too. She agreed.

And who better to give them their makeover than Make Over Guy, Christopher Hopkins?

The couple, who’s been married for “33 glorious years,” trekked to Minneapolis to get the makeovers they wanted each other to get.

When they came into the studio, Jane had shoulder-length ash brown hair with dark roots and her husband had a grey-white beard and long copper white hair that came to his ears.

Make Over Guy is Christopher Hopkins and he has been giving makeovers since 1990 when he set up his first salon inside a TV Studio in St. Paul, Minnesota.

And before any makeover, Christopher always starts with an interview to get to know the client.

This time, we get to know Jane and her husband.

They’ve been friends since high school and their love story started with a proposal.

When hubby was in the eighth or ninth grade, he liked older girls but no one would take him seriously.

“I decided if I start proposing right out of the gate, they’d know I’m serious. [Because] you know, what eighth-grader who proposes off the bat is not serious?” he said during their pre-makeover interview.

He continued.

“Jane isn’t the first woman I proposed to but she is the first woman I proposed to who didn’t say no,” he said.

Jane laughed and recalled what was on her mind at that time.

“I thought it was cute and nice but really immature,” Jane said. She turned to her husband when he asked her about now and answered, “You’re still immature.”

Jane eventually said yes when she was a college freshman and her husband was a high school junior. They were together for four years before he proposed for real and they got married.

Christopher asked them what they wanted for their partner’s makeover.

Jane started the ball rolling and said, “I don’t want him to look too good because then he’ll have a big head.”

Christopher did his makeover magic and the couple looked stunning!

Because he’s been giving makeovers for almost three decades now, Christopher has transformed the looks and lives of his clients for a long time. His clients come from all over the Minnesota state, all over the US, and even from other countries.

Christopher has a magic touch that just transforms his clients into someone else.

And he’s done the same for this adorable couple. Jane couldn’t stop gushing over her husband’s new look.

“I think he looks fabulous. I told him he could be on GQ,” Jane said.

Her husband responded by pretending to pull her by the arm so they can leave.

When they asked him about her makeover, he said, “She’s beautiful, isn’t she? I believe my wife is beautiful. She has always been on the inside but now, her outer beauty is shining through.”

Now that their makeover is done, how were they planning to enjoy it?

“We’re planning to watch the fireworks at 10 tonight. And apparently, there’s a black party a block from here,” he said.

Jane nodded.

“We’re just going to walk the town and see what’s going on,” Jane added.
