When you adopt a rescue animal you save a life. It is one of the greatest things anyone can ever do. You become a hero to the animal you saved and to the community of animal lovers all across the world.

If you ever feel like you haven’t done enough with your life, adopt a rescue animal and that feeling will go away instantly and forever.

That love you give to your rescue animal will come back to you tenfold.

Some say that shelter dogs know how to love more because they have gone without it and know how difficult that can be.

Meriah Jae reacts to her sister adopting a pit bull.

When Meriah Jae’s sister adopted a pit bull from a shelter, the transformation that dog went through was amazing. It really showed the difference that a loving forever home can make in an animal’s life.

Meriah decided to put together a collage of “before and after photos” to show just how happy the newly adopted dog had become. This led to many people posting “before and after photos” of their own rescue dogs as well.

Olive’s Transformation.

Olive is the dog in the above photo. The woman in the blue hair made a very wonderful decision to adopt her when she was already 10 years old. Look how much better Olive is doing now that she has a loving forever home. What a life-saver this blue-haired woman is!

That feeling when you know you’ve found your forever home.

On the left, a poor puppy is frightened in a shelter, not knowing what comes next. On the right is a happy and excited doggo ready to start their new life in a loving forever home. That’s the difference adopting a rescue animal can make.

Another dog above can be seen on the greatest car ride a shelter animal will ever know, it’s the one to their new forever home. Look at the difference freedom makes. It’s an exciting day for the humans involved as well. After all, their family has grown by one member.

The look of happiness.

The photo of this pupper on the left is so heartbreaking. That is the frightened and scared look of a dog that doesn’t know what is next for them. They don’t have the love a dog needs to be happy. On the right, however, is just the opposite.

That is a well-cared-for and happy rescue dog. Imagine the joy their owner must feel knowing they are responsible for turning a scared little animal into one filled with joy.

The Twitter user above didn’t post any before pictures of Beans but noted that he was only 1 week away from being euthanized when they were adopted.

Now look at him. Beans is riding high, doing his best Leonardo DiCaprio from Titanic impersonation as he rides atop a boat. Good for you, Beans! Good for you!

Look at how happy Red is! You can tell that this little guy has been very well cared for.

On his way home from the shelter, you can see the inquisitive boy still is a little confused, perhaps unsure if he really has found his forever home. Red on the right is the cheerful result of what happens when you adopt a shelter dog and give them all the love they deserve.

Perhaps it’s time for you to consider adopting a shelter animal if you haven’t done so already.
