Woman spots a “furry clump” in distress on country road and stops to help it
There are a lot of things that you might encounter while driving down a road.
It could be any form of trash, traffic signs, stray animals, or even dead plants.
However, only a few reasons would get you interested to even stop in the middle of your journey.
Natalie Therese and her partner were enjoying their time traveling when she noticed something in the middle of the road.
She saw what seemed to be a clump of dirt and had the strong feeling to check it out.
Her gut turned out to be right.
“[I] yelled to watch out and pull over,” Therese shared with The Dodo.
Natalie immediately got out of the car and walked toward the ‘furry clump’ thing.
She did not expect what it really was.
It was three baby otters!
The young otters were stranded in the middle of the street. While gushing over the cute creatures before her, she realized she had seen another otter earlier.
Natalie realized that the other otter that she spotted running away from an oncoming car could be the mother of the pups. Looking around, she looked for their mom.
They were too scared.
The group of baby otters was so startled crossing the road that they just froze in the middle of it.
They were out alone while their scared mom kept an eye on them. Therese knew that they needed help in order to get them safely on the side of the road and back to their mother.
She was determined to help them.
Seeing that they were helpless, Therese knew that she needed to go somewhere safe, so she pointed out the direction to where their mom was waiting for them.
She stayed with them throughout the entire them until she was sure that they already understood what they needed to do.
Therese patiently waited at the back of the car to secure that the babies were already reunited with their mother.
The reunion of the family was truly a heartwarming scene.
Natalie was moved by what she had witnessed. The baby otters bid goodbye before running towards the side of the road after she shushes them away.
One of them squeaked to her as if thanking Natalie for what she did for them.
Natalie’s video reached more than 3000 likes!
She shared the recorded encounter on her Instagram account.
Natalie even wrote in her caption, “Mother Earth and Her creatures are so precious, and we must do what we can to protect them.”
Indeed, her actions made a remarkable impact on the lives of the otter family.
Aside from the otters, it made a huge impact on Natalie too.
“I was so touched and moved to tears from the whole experience,” Natalie told The Dodo.
The mother otter and her babies are truly grateful for the kindness that she extended towards them.
If everyone could share the love that they have for others like Natalie, the world would be a more beautiful place!
