When Robin learned she had diabetes, she knew she had to turn her life around. And then she saw a cat who also needed to lose weight.

Like most people, Robin had always struggled with maintaining her weight. But when she developed diabetes, she knew that she had to make some big changes.

She took up a much more strict diet than before. She also started to exercise on a regular basis. And little by little, she started to lose weight.

Eventually, she lost 127 pounds and realized that she had reached her goal.

She thought that she would focus only on maintaining her own weight from then on.

But then King came into her life.

A local animal shelter posted about King the cat on Facebook. He had come into the shelter after his owner died.

King’s original owner had Alzheimer’s. Because of her condition, she kept on feeding and feeding the cat. In fact, when King arrived at the shelter, he weighed a whopping 36 pounds.

Robin saw King’s photo. She realized that she was especially suited to look after the large cat. So Robin showed up at the shelter.

The second Robin saw King, she fell in love with him. The animal was incredibly friendly and loved having his belly petted.

When Robin told the shelter volunteers of what she had been through, they said that they couldn’t imagine a more perfect fit.

With a struggle, Robin heaved up King, put him in his carrier and took him to her car. But she had to put his carrier on a dolly first, because she couldn’t carry such a large cat all the way.

At home, Robin found out that it was even tougher to heave the cat up the stairs. But she was still determined to help the cat in any way she could.

Robin had constructed a room just for King. At first, the cat wouldn’t leave his carrier. But then she coaxed him out with some food.

The cat looked around the room and immediately got comfortable.

But King wasn’t the only animal in the home. Robin already had a little dog called Rufus.

Robin was worried that Rufus and King wouldn’t get along. So she brought Rufus into King’s room to see what would happen.

When Rufus walked into King’s room, Robin noticed that the dog was in fact three times smaller than the cat.

Rufus acted a little cautiously toward King. But King was indifferent. So Robin opened King’s door and gave him the run of the house.

King looked everywhere, seeing where he could and couldn’t fit. His favorite spots were underneath the beds.

But what really amused Robin was the fact that King kept on trying to fit into places that were far too small for him, like he thought he was still just a tiny kitten.

Now, Robin is trying to give King as much exercise as possible. She’s also put him on a strict diet, which he doesn’t appreciate!

Eventually, Robin wants King to be slim enough for them to both be able to exercise with one another (or at least make it look plausible that they exercise together.) Hopefully, King is able to lose the weight in no time!
