Why do women get makeovers?

It is a desire to be beautiful? Is it a desire to be wanted? Is it a desire to look younger?

It could be all of this and more.

And it’s not a bad thing to want to look and feel better. All women, in fact, everyone, is entitled to indulge their want to look more beautiful and younger, too.

And sometimes, there’s an underlying reason for it.

“Looks are part of the holistic approach to good health and self-esteem,” Susan Bentley Joseph, a family and marriage counselor, explained. “Because the mind and the body work together. Women wanting to participate in makeovers want to feel and look better.”

And this is one of the reasons why Sandy Chisolm wanted to get a makeover.

Sandy is a 73-year-old woman from Boston who flew to Minnesota to specifically get a makeover from Christopher Hopkins. Christopher is THE MAKEOVERGUY and he has given middle-aged to golden-aged women a second lease in life with these amazing makeovers.

And Sandy wanted a new look.

“I feel about 40 [but] I definitely want to look younger. I’m feeling a little more tired as I get older so I need a little more oomph,” Sandy explained.

Her current hair is the longest she’s ever experienced and she just hated it. She needed a new look. She was even willing to have her hair dyed blue, green, or yellow.

That’s how much she wants to have a new look!

“[Christopher] is the Magic Man so let him do his magic,” Sandy shared.

And so Christopher worked his magic and totally transformed Sandy! Sandy was ecstatic.

“I’m feeling terrific!” Sandy said. “It’s just nice, not like a regular hair salon at home where there are noise and hairdryer. I’m feeling good.”

She’s even talking about picking up a guy and going dancing. Well, hello, Sandy!

And even the viewers love her new look!

“More awesomeness! Thank you for making these women feel young and beautiful! Saving lives actually, that important,” Dog Mom added.

“Stunning makeover!! Took 25 years off,” julie depaolo agreed.

“You look great. Its good to feel young at our age. Bless you. Have fun on the dance floor,” Debbie Rabe said.

If you don’t know him yet, MAKEOVERGUY is Christopher Hopkins. He has been transforming looks in Minnesota since 1990. He has opened several salons and has given thousands of makeovers.

And it was in 2009 when Makeoverguy became a global sensation.

Christopher had just released his book, Staging Your Comeback, in 2008. This eventual bestseller was for women aged 45 and over, looking to reinvent themselves.

His YouTube channel was born because of this success. And soon, women all over the world flew to his studio in Minnesota just to get a brand new look.

In 2017, he finally opened the MAKEOVERGUY Appearance Studios.

And in this studio, he doesn’t just cut hair. He also provides make-up and clothes makeovers. He has begun to offer the whole package.

And his clients are loving it!

No wonder people are flying all around the world just to have the “Magic Man” recreate their looks.
