Woman offers homeless man a job at her home and then changes his life even more

It is best to be kind to everyone because you don’t know the battles they are fighting.

This is exactly what took place when a woman decided to have a chat with a stranger out of nowhere.

Meet Danielle MacDuff.

Danielle lives in Newcastle, Ontario, where she met Brian Bannister.

Out of nowhere, she felt the urge to strike up a conversation with him.

Little did she know that the chat would change both their lives.

Brian was a homeless man who stayed outside a drugstore and sat beside a garbage can while waiting for people to give out their spare.

Danielle and the 60-year-old man were able to exchange words for some time which is enough to make the kind woman have thoughts of hiring him on her farm starting the next day.

A simple, pure act of kindness.

One great enough to give him hope. He never thought that kind of opportunity would come.

“It floored me. It just came from the heart with her, and I got to thank her every day,” said Brian.

Brian had a difficult time meeting his needs and living in a shed.

It was a like a light at the end of his dark tunnel.

Brian tried his best to get away from drug addiction, survived abuse, and lost two wives.

It was a difficult life for him, which made him almost give up until he met Danielle.

Don’t we all want a hero in times of trouble?

Bannister used to work at a farm 40 years ago, so he is no longer a stranger to the job.

The employment that he had was almost equal to a miracle that he had never dreamed of having.

Every day, Daniel picks him up and gives him a ride to the farm, where they take care of 200 animals composed of dogs, horses, cows, and goats.

Their interaction developed into an unexpected friendship.

“Some people need to just talk,” shared Danielle, which is what they usually do since the day they met.

“He is kind, compassionate, and amazing with my children, animals, and staff.” said the female farm owner.

Danielle appreciates the amount of work that Brian has contributed ever since he started working at the farm, which is why she decided to put up a Gofund page for him.

It was raining with blessings.

The page has already reached its goal of $5000, but it continued to grow and has a total of $11,491 CAD as of writing.

Aside from raising funds, Danielle also gave her newfound friend a haircut he hadn’t done for the past two years.

But Danielle went even further.

Brian also had a new phone which Danielle and her family also provided.

He was not the only one to gain from what happened.

“He has no idea what this has done for me. If we could get everyone off the street, ideally, that would be my one wish, but it takes a lot of people to come together, and that is what has happened for Brian. I think that’s why we’ve come so far in such a short time.” Danielle said.

Ain’t that a wonderful story to hear every day?
