Woman redesigns shed into cozy tiny house and shows how she makes it all work
Property tax and mortgage.
Aside from these two, there are lots of other things that you need to consider before buying a property.
Before even acquiring a property, one must think about shelling out a huge amount of money for a downpayment, accessibility to different establishments, the age of the property, and the neighborhood itself.
Now, if these things give you nothing but worries and doubts about buying your own property, then I guess this woman would teach you a thing or two about being smart in life.
Meet Precious Price.
Precious is an amazing entrepreneur from Atlanta, Georgia. She firmly believes in financial freedom and doing what your heart truly desires.
It’s almost safe to say that Precious has everything that she needs, a career and a big house with three bedrooms.
What else could she ask for?
One day, she realized she still has a large empty space in her backyard. That’s when she decided to put it to good use.
She started by looking for container homes and other tiny structures. However, she ended up choosing a shed with a deck for her tiny home project.
This happened during the pandemic when everyone was inside their comfort zones – home.
But before the pandemic, Precious’ house was already being rented by her tenants since she usually travels for work.
The rent payments covered her mortgage.
Unfortunately, when the outbreak started, she had no choice but to lock herself at home, just like everyone else.
Despite having a 3-bedroom house, she thought about making good use of her place since it was kind of too much for her.
After all, she admitted that she doesn’t want to be bothered by thinking about paying her mortgage because the rental payment has been taking care of it since then.
āI kind of donāt want to pay my mortgages. I hadnāt been paying my mortgage. Airbnb was kind of paying it for me all of those months prior, so I didnāt want to continue my mortgages,ā Precious said.
The result? “The Cove Escape.”
As tiny as the house seems, one might think there’s no way it’s a livable space – well, take a look inside first and be the judge.
Upon entering the little house, the living room or lounge area welcomes you with a daybed so guests could relax anytime they want.
It also has a movable small table that is perfect for mobile phones or perhaps, a cup of hot coffee.
There is also a storage on the side where she puts extra bedsheets, paper towels, etc. It can also be used as a closet for guests who plan on staying long-term.
Right across the lounge is the kitchen.
It has a wall-mounted television, an induction cooker, a two-door fridge, a sink, and a table for two beside windows where you can see the abundant greeneries outside.
There are also cabinets where Precious hides other kitchen appliances like a juicer and coffee maker.
To the left of the kitchen is where the toilet and bathroom are located.
It’s complete with a basin-vanity mirror combo, a flush toilet, and a glassdoor-protected shower.
It also has an exhaust fan for proper ventilation and a window where natural light comes in.
And completing the house tour is the loft bed right on top of the main door and lounge area.
It has a sliding wooden ladder for access.
The clearance thought is a little short, Precious said that it’s because the bed is supposed to be used only for sleeping.
A “labor of love” that’s how Precious describes her tiny home.
