Woman has 'eyesore' garage on her property – remodels it into a dreamy sanctuary

Minimalism is becoming a very popular trend, people are wising up to the anxiety that having too much stuff can bring. This woman lived on a property with a main house and an old garage, so she remodeled the garage for herself and rented out the bigger home. The completed project only cost her $32k and took less than a year to build.

She decided to transform the detached garage into a tiny home with all the amenities, which enabled her to rent out the main house.

“When I bought this property it had two structures., the main house, and then it had this little tiny garage. So I rented out the main house and remodeled the garage.” Said Vega.

Michelle has a bathroom that was built on to the garage

Obviously, you need a bathroom to be comfortable in any home, so the intelligent minimalist added a bathroom onto the garage. Since it was an addition, she made it roomier than the rest of the remodel.

The bathroom has a full-size tub, sink, and toilet, along with some gorgeous decor.

“I thought, ‘well, as long as I’m building a new bathroom, I might as well make it a little bit bigger’. And I love my bathtub, it’s kind of my sanctuary.” Vega explained.

She grows her own food, uses an efficient wood-stove, and uses second-hand decore that she sometimes makes herself. Michelle also keeps the clutter down by getting rid of stuff when she brings new things home.
