It could be as simple as replacing broken elements or swapping outdated fixtures with modern ones. A fresh coat of paint can do wonders for your bathroom, too.

If you can’t paint your bathroom with new colors, you can create your own backsplash.

One woman is sharing an easy step-by-step guide to fix that wall to the back of people’s vanity. Yes, that part that often gets slashed with water whenever someone’s washing their hands or their face.

The project is quite cheap.

You won’t have to spend thousands of dollars just to do the trick. You won’t even have to spend a hundred.

All you need is a trip to the Dollar Store.

Once you’re there, go to the floral aisle and look for “little gems” there. You’ll probably see two kinds of gems- be sure to pick ones with a flat back.

Get at least 3 packs of the gemstones.

There’s no rule when it comes to the colors. In fact, you can turn your bathroom as colorful as you want. Using different colors will give your bathroom the vibrant and inviting look you want.

Wash the gems first.

This is to make sure that they aren’t full of dirt. You want your gems to look nice and sparkly on your wall. After washing them, leave the gems out to dry.

Take out your mirror.

To create a precise result, get a measure stick or ruler. Use the tool to create lines that’ll help determine the boundaries of your backsplash.

Next, apply Mastic.

Be sure to apply a thin coat over the entire area. You can use a small notch trowel for this.

Once you’re done covering the area, start working on your gemstones.

This is the most exciting part of the process. At this point, you can start arranging the gems however you like. You can make different patterns and colors to create various styles.

Then, create a mixture with grout and a half cup of water.

Carefully apply it over your gems. To make sure you don’t hit the sink, insert painter’s tape into the area.

Wait for it to dry.

Don’t worry. This won’t take a long time. In fact, you can finish the project in just 30 minutes.

As for the cost? Well, it’s just around $6. It’s quite cheap if you consider how your bathroom will change once you have a gemstone backsplash installed.

The trick impressed tons of people.
