Woman says it took her 40 years to learn how to properly close a cereal box

What’s worse than having to rush through breakfast because of oversleeping and running late?

Realizing the quickest thing you can prepare and eat doesn’t even taste good anymore.

This often happens to cereal.

If you’re the type who doesn’t transfer cereal to a dispenser or airtight container, then you know exactly what we mean. Who wants to gnaw on stale and tough cereal soaked in milk, right? Sometimes, a clip alone to seal the bag just doesn’t cut it.

First, you need to take both small end tabs and fold them downwards.

Then, take one of the longer tabs and fold it all the way down.

Now that both small end tabs and one longer tab are folded down completely, pinch both sides of the box, folding them in until they’re completely closed.

Lastly, take the remaining longer tab and slide it downwards.

Now, “seal” the box completely by pressing the top tightly, keeping the sides creased.

Facebook users just had to express their excitement about the game-changing hack, even sharing photos of their cereal boxes in the comments section of Becky’s post. Some of them said they wanted to buy cereal just to try it out, while some tagged their friends and left some pretty hilarious remarks!

“Can you do this then instead of hating the box and tearing it to shreds?”

If, instead of jars and dispensers, you opt for clips and keeping the packs inside the original box, then you’ll surely appreciate this cereal storage hack. And because it’s so easy, you can teach the kids at home to do this! Another great thing about this easy way of sealing the box is that it goes for other products that come in similar cardboard boxes, too: chips, cookies, flour, etc.
