We hear and see not-so-good news every day. But here are some good vibes to get you through the rest of the week.

Car accidents can be extremely traumatic. Even a minor ding on your side mirror or a scratch on the hood can be stressful.

What if there is a three-vehicle accident?

The greater the number of people and vehicles involved, the greater the trauma.

Such traumas are experienced by children involved in car accidents.

In 2018, 636 children aged 12 and younger died in car accidents, and over 97,000 were injured.

That’s how high it is! It is difficult for a child to witness or take part on their own.

So, how do you handle or treat a child who has emerged from the scene of an accident?

One afternoon in Coral Springs, Florida, an accident occurred.

A child passenger was involved. Fortunately, no one was killed, and only two people got minor injuries.

The officer arrived on the scene to comfort the child. In the event of an accident, this is not the primary duty of a police officer.

As reinforcements, police officers rush to an accident scene to manage the removal of vehicles involved in the accident. They document the incident, file a report, and determine who is at fault.

A police officer is also required to ensure that everyone is safe at the scene of a car accident.

This is exactly what Officer Brian Dougherty did for this young boy.

He walked to the car when he arrived at the scene, knowing that the situation would cause the child a lot of stress, and asked the boy to He assured the child’s parents that he had come to assist them.

Janet Balestriero noticed this and took a photo of the touching moment.

She saw Officer Dougherty take the child to the curb and sit down, according to her post. He then let him play with the toy truck and asked about his favorite animated films. This may appear to be a simple act, but we’re sure it meant a lot to the child.

The post drew a lot of attention online.

One person left a comment being grateful and commended the officer:

“Thank you officer for your act of kindness…although you probably thought nothing of it…just calming and reassuring a little boy! A compassionate heart you have sir!”

This isn’t the first time Officer Dougherty has been recognized for acts of kindness.

He also took part in their “Shop with a Cop and Angel Tree program.”

As part of their fundraising event, he participated in the “Olympic Torch Run.”

And was caught playing football with neighborhood kids.

Janet Balestrerio, on the other hand, does not want this simple act to be forgotten.

Officer Dougherty received some “good vibes” from Janet.

Janet is a participant in “The Kindness Rock Project,” which allows people to paint on rocks.

Then share and “gift” positivity to others by creating messages on rocks.

Officer Dougherty got one from Janet and we can all agree he deserves it!
