Woman has now become the third-wheel in her marriage after getting a cat

Having the feeling that you’re the third weel in a relationship – it’s always a bit uncomfortable and awkward.

This woman can definitely relate, as she struggles to receive any attention from her husband now that he’s fallen in love with an adorable cat.

The woman, Lindsey, actually rescued the furry feline and brought her home, and now she basically feels like the third wheel in her cat and husband’s relationship.

It’s a good thing that these two are just so immensely sweet and adorable together.

Lindsey actually found this poor and homeless kitten underneath a shed, and she just couldn’t stand the feline being so helpless. She decided to take the feline home and named him Roswell. Her boyfriend at the time, Drew, was immediately open to the idea of welcoming a kitten into the house – but she certainly didn’t expect just how well these two would get along!

Lindsey and Drew were going to get married soon, but it became evidently clear ever since Roswell arrived, that Lindsey would have to share her husband with this adorable kitten.

These two are pretty inseparable – they play together, they nap together, they watch tv together. Mom Lindsey doesn’t know what to do anymore to get her husband’s attention, as he’s head over heels in love with little Roswell.

“Roswell just kind of gravitated towards Drew,” she told in a video by The Dodo. “I think that his beard has something to do with it,” she joked.

It also seems that Roswell reacts differently to Drew than the cat does with her and that the cat acts quite jealous whenever Drew is doing something else.

He’s even quite sassy and sometimes even mad at Lindsey, the jealousy is obviously getting to him!

“He will be one way with Drew, and he will be a totally different way with me. Drew will just be like, ‘Oh no, I got him, don’t worry'”.

Roswell absolutely loves his hugs and cuddles, and definitely will make sure that everyone knows when it’s cuddle time.

“Roswell gives this chirp and then kind of gives the permission of like, ‘Please, pick me up by my armpits’. They’re just loving on each other and then Roswell just swiftly turns and looks at me just like ‘Oh, you’re back too.'”

It didn’t take long before Lindsey realized that she wasn’t Roswell has taken over her part in the relationship.

“I’m like the side chick in the relationship. I’m the third wheel. I’ll be sitting alone at the other end of the couch, watching them cuddle. Roswell will fixate on me and you can feel his rage”, she laughed.

“When he’s staring me at giving me looks, I would decipher that as ‘leave your wedding rings on the table, you’ve been replaced.”

“I gave him life, essentially. But, I’m the second choice. I’ve tried to intervene on their little love fest, but there’s nothing I can do.”

This family of three clearly still has some issues to work out, but it’s a good thing that their interactions are all just either cute or hilarious.

Of course, cat dad Drew wanted to say a few words about their special relationship too.

“He’s my best buddy in the entire universe now. I like spending my time with my cat just hanging out. Be a cat dat! I love it, they’re great!”
