Lots of people want to join in with the small home living craze. But Tyshae has wanted to do it since she herself was tiny. When she finally did it, she was very happy.

What was your childhood dream? Everyone had one.

Some people wanted to become astronauts. Others wished to become famous. Tyshae wanted to live in a tiny home. That might sound like a small dream, but that meant that it was achievable for her.

Tyshae was born and raised in California. She grew up in a large home. But when she was twelve, she realized she wanted to have a small space of her own.

She’d always been a minimalist, so a tiny home really appealed to her.

When she grew up, she got on with her career and put the dream aside. But then she heard about a tiny house village in Dallas, Texas. It sounded incredible to her. So she decided to make the move and downsize like she’d always wanted to.

Soon, shed’ picked out a tiny home that, though small, had everything that she needed. In fact, it even had a balcony, which she’d never had before!

The inside is luxurious. Two French doors open right into the kitchen, which has plenty of counter space, a large sink, a full size oven and a big fridge.

Tyshae also keeps her seasonings in a drawer underneath the fridge. She says that she loves that, as it’s handy for cooking with the oven.

Above the kitchen is a long shelf, which gives Tyshae some room to place art.

At the top of one end of the tiny home is an area for Tyshae’s work. She is a massage therapist, so there’s a compartment that’s big enough for someone to lie down and receive a relaxing massage. In the corner of this room is an alter for Tyshae’s meditation.

The bathroom is surprisingly large. The shower and bathtub take up a lot of room.

But there’s plenty of space leftover for the toilet and sink. And opposite the toilet is enough room for a dual washer and dryer.

Right now, there’s an empty space just past the kitchen. But Tyshae plans on adding a bar/dining space to the area.

Just past this is an entertainment space. A long futon sits opposite a dip into the wall that fits a TV and a few other items.

In the steps that head up to the loft are some storage cupboards.

Up in the loft, there’s a bed, a cupboard and a shelf. Above the bed is a skylight, which Tyshae considers to be her favorite part of the entire home.

And at the end of the bed is a window that is large enough for Tyshae to slip through onto the balcony.

The balcony is large enough for Tyshae to practice yoga on, which she does every single morning.

There’s also a little porch outside the doors to the tiny home. This has a quartz lamp that perfectly illuminates the deck when it gets dark. The porch also has a little barbecue, which is a must-have for any Texas home!

At the sides of the porch, there’s a small plot of land that Tyshae is turning into a garden. She has put down grass and will soon start adding some vegetables and herbs.

Tyshae plans on living in the tiny home village for three to five years. After that, she plans to move it to a plot of land in Louisiana.
