Meet Xherdan the cat, a feline four-footer who has received the questionable nickname of the world’s scariest-looking cat. Granted, Xherdan doesn’t really comply with our idea of a cute and adorable kitten, but it turns out that looks can be very, very deceiving. According to his owner, this mean-looking four-footer is actually one of the sweetest cats around.

Sandra Filippi, the cat’s owner, fell in love with him ever since she met the wrinkly cat.

Xherdan is a sphynx cat and doesn’t have any fur, which is why his looks are rather unique and not very cat-like. He’s six years old and some of his pictures recently went viral on the internet because of his menacing looks. News outlets decided to try and find the owner of this cat to find out just how menacing this feline actually was.

“When I first saw him, he immediately stole my heart. His wrinkled pink skin, as fine as a peach, and his turquoise eyes, I was in love!” the woman said in an interview with The Sun.

The saying ‘don’t judge a book by its cover’ definitely applies here too, because Sandra says that Xherdan is a very sweet and lovely cat with an amazing personality.

“Xherdan is a very active cat and he talks a great deal, in all pitches, when he is excited, when he is hungry, when he plays or while cuddling and falling asleep, he is like a child and his character is very lovely,” Sandra added.

Sandra was head over heels in love with her new pet and she decided to share her happiness with the rest of the world. She created an Instagram account for the cat, @xherdanthenakedcat, so she could regularly give the rest of the world updates about her feline friend. With over 26,000 followers in a relatively short time, Xherdan definitely is a little bit internet famous.

Even though the majority of comments were positive, Sandra also had to deal with negative comments and trolls, such as people saying he looks like an albino version of Yoda, a brain or even a walnut. However, if there’s one thing that Sandra wants to prove, it’s that Xherdan is more than just his looks. Thanks to adorable photos and videos of the cat, Xherdan has quickly won the hearts of the internet.

As for people who meet the cat in real life, Sandra does say that most are actually pretty scared of the cat, but that luckily doesn’t last very long.

“Most people are a little bit scared of Xherdan at first, but then when they meet him they love him!” she said.

Aside from being sweet and affectionate, Xherdan is also a very curious cat. He always wants to know what Sandra and the rest of the family are doing!

Xherdan’s furless appearance might seem simple, but it actually requires some special care. For example, the sphynx cat needs regular cleaning of his ears, eyes, and paws which can be cumbersome at times, but Sandra doesn’t mind at all. She just loves taking care of her feline buddy who’s her sunshine in the home.
