Poor Leo is one worried dog. Sure, he’s adorable and really cute, like all dogs are, but this time the poor good boy is very worried.

The reason is that he accidentally ripped a hole in his favorite toy. It’s a brown stuffed animal that Leo takes with him everywhere he goes. This cute golden-doodle adores and loves his family, but his little brown plushie is his favorite.

The stuffed animal holds a special place in this doggy’s furry heart.

“It is his favorite toy,” Leo’s owner, Hayley Alaxanian, narrated to The Dodo.

How did this all happen?

Well when Leo was playing with his plush toy, and as is the case with happy dogs, he accidentally ripped a hole into the toy, exposing the stuffed toy’s soft white contents.

Leo is one lucky dog though since Hayley’s dad was there when it happened. Everyone could see the poor dog was upset but Hayley’s dad came to the rescue.

“My dad took the toy away from him and put it away so he couldn’t reach it, but he was crying and trying to reach for it,” Hayley said. “That’s when my dad decided to get his sewing kit out and started sewing it back together.”

Leo got to witness the surgery first-hand (paw?).

So while Hayley’s dad was performing the on-the-spot “surgery”, Leo stayed by his “friend’s” side, looking so worried and ready to do anything for the stuffed toy.

In fact, Leo stayed there the entire time as Hayley’s dad focused on stitching the damaged toy. The poor dog was so nervous.

Leo even nuzzled the man’s arm, as if telling Hayley’s dad to be careful with his favorite plushie. It is his favorite and his best bud!

Hayley’s dad didn’t really have the experience in handling such a delicate situation, but who does?

And yet he concentrated on the task at hand (paw?) and soon, the toy was back in shape after just a few minutes.

For the love of dog. Because no decent person can stand seeing a sad, worried pup.

“That is the first time I’ve seen him sew a dog toy together,” Hayley said.

The once super worried Leo soon felt relieved knowing that his plushie friend was going to be just fine after surgery. Soon after that, the concerned dog and his toy were happily reunited.

Hayley’s dad is a hero in Leo’s eyes.

Now surely Leo will be way more careful when playing with his favorite stuffed animal. He knows now how dangerous rough play is.

But if ever such an incident happens again, and let’s hope not, Hayley knows that her dad will always be around to bring that smile back to Leo’s face.

Hayley knows what he did is the sweetest, most selfless act ever and she is super grateful. So is Leo, and he got to witness just how loving Hayley’s dad is.
