Worried dog watches in fear while his human dad performs ‘life saving’ surgery on his favorite toy
A dog’s innocence is beyond adorable and it will make you realize that your complaints in life are tons lighter than what you actually thought. You know the faces that they made when they did something wrong like chewing your favorite carpet or if you caught them sneaking a mouthful of sumptuous treat.
They simply do all sorts of fun things and their antics make them the best animal companion in any household, don’t you agree? This dog, in particular, is just one of the many reasons why you should have a dog at home and you’ll soon know why as you read through this article.
Oh no!
One day, Leo, a golden doodle made the biggest mistake of his life when he accidentally ripped a hold into his favorite toy – a brown plushie. Although replacing it could’ve done the job, the stuffed animal toy holds a special spot in his little heart.
“It is his favorite toy,” Leo’s owner, Hayley Alaxanian, told The Dodo.
The unfortunate incident happened when the innocent pooch was playing with his little toy. When suddenly, perhaps out of joy and excitement, the dog unintentionally ripped a hole into it. It made Leo very devastated and upset, he had no idea what to do to make things right.
Thankfully, Hayley’s dad was there to save the day and to take the worried dog out of absolute trouble.
“[My dad] took the toy away from him and put it away so he couldn’t reach it, but he was crying and trying to reach for it,” Hayley said. “That’s when my dad decided to get his sewing kit out and started sewing it back together.”
A heart-stopping scene.
Leo was all eyes during the impromptu “surgery” that was done by Hayley’s dad. He was so afraid that his friend might not make it out “alive” after the “operation”. Luckily, Hayley was able to record the entire scene. She decided to post it on Facebook and to no surprise, it amassed over 200,000 views!
In fact, at one point in the video, Leo nuzzled up against Hayley’s dad’s arm as if the pooch was telling him to be extra gentle to his “injured” favorite toy. Despite not having a doctorate degree or any experience in such a situation, Leo’s favorite plushie was gladly saved and sewed after a couple of minutes.
“That is the first time I’ve seen him sew a dog toy together,” Hayley said.
After that breath-taking moment, the then worried Leo managed to smile again after seeing that his favorite plushie was already repaired. It also meant more playtime with his best buddy, but he knew he had to be more careful when snuggling with it. He surely didn’t want to be worried sick once he ripped it off again.
But if ever it happens again, both Hayley and Leo know that they have a dad whom they could always rely on in times of emergency such as “surgery”.
“It is the sweetest thing ever,” she concluded.
