Young boy who can play 10 instruments performs an adorable cover of “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door”
What were you doing when you were five?
While most of us were eating dirt and mixing gummy bears into our cereal bowls, this little guy has learned to play not only one but over eight other musical instruments. And when we say play, itâs not just striking the drum kit with random beats or strumming the guitar with misplaced fingers.
This kid can play not only contemporary songs but also rock classics from Led Zeppelin to The Beatles.
Miles Bonham hails from Chicago, Illinois.
He and his work can be seen in his parent-run Instagram account called @milesmusickid. This account has over 60,000 followers and theyâre all waiting to hear the music that Miles create.
His social media accounts, including his YouTube channel, have become a platform for him to express his music.
At 5 years and 5 months, according to his Instagram bio, he has covered various songs spanning different genres/
He started learning instruments when he was 4.
And if thatâs not impressive enough, he learned all of those without taking a single music lesson. He learned by imitating the sounds and songs he hears and translates them through the musical instruments he has access to.
Electric guitar, acoustic guitar, drums, keyboard, bass, ukulele, and even a harmonica â Miles surely knows his way around music even at a young age.
He even made a short music video covering The Beatlesâ hit song âCome Together.â
The video shows him playing a red electric guitar as he walked around the neighborhood. But he also played the keys, the drums, and the accompanying guitar. His dad may have helped with the bass but everything else was all him â including those adorable vocals.
When he covered Paul McCartneyâs 1973 song âBand on the Runâ, his dad posted the video saying it was Miles playing not just one, but all ten instruments used in the song.
At one point, he even shared a song about âglobal warningâ when they talked about forest fires in California. The song he played was Billie Eilish’s âAll the Good Girls Go to Hellâ.

He also sang his heart out to one of his favorite songs by Ok Go, âThat One Moment.â

He did a bass cover for Justin Beiberâs âHoly.â

But he also enjoyed tunes that most of his peers are listening to like âBaby Shark.â

This talented kid is just not running out of songs to sing and instruments to play, but we are all here to see all of it.
Thereâs little room for argument – this kid is definitely going places.
And the good thing about his journey is that he has parents who are more than willing to support him.
While learning a lot of instruments can be challenging, if not outright daunting, Miles shared that you should stop arguing for your limitations.

In one of his videos, he was asked what âarguing for your limitationsâ means. He said:
âIt means that you say something bad about yourself like you won’t be good at something and then it becomes true when you grow up. Because you stop playing it, you stop trying.â
Age will never be a hurdle just as long as we keep it at. Howâs that for a piece of wisdom from a five-year-old prodigy?
