Prom night is the one evening where young boys and girls can dress up and become ladies and gentlemen for a memorable school event.

One they’ll never forget. Or rather forget if not done right. And that’s why transformations and makeovers are the norms leading up to prom.

This young lady wanted to look different for her school’s prom.

One quick look at the video, and it’s clear why. Teenagers go through puberty, where their bodies go through a lot of changes.

The video is entitled “She wanted a different look for prom.”

This YouTube video was uploaded by a hairstylist under the account name The Hair Guru Carla.

Her client sits front and center as the makeover subject.

This high school girl walked into Carla’s salon with striking and eye-catching blonde curly afro hair. That’s okay for a normal school day, but definitely not prom night.

Carla says her client “does not want to wear her natural hair.”

The young lady asked for a straight hairstyle with a classic part in the middle. Which means she needed a lace installation.

Watch closely and see how this young lady changes her look thanks to Carla.

“She is gonna have me install a lace front wig because she don’t want her color to show but she do not want to style her real hair,” Carla narrated.

Then the braiding begins as she expertly handles her client’s hair. She even shaves some baby hair out to make her look sharp and clean all the way.

Carla moves to install the wig.

But first, she needed to cover the girl’s natural hair. Carla then proceeds to apply various hair products before gluing the lace front wig in.

Already, the teenager looks amazing, but Carla’s not done.

Carla continues to work her magic, slowly but surely transforming the young girl’s hair into something prom worthy.

Carla doesn’t stop with her hair either. She goes on to add some makeup to make her client look even more beautiful. Time to style that wig!

Hair products are added in, then Carla uses a blow dryer before ironing everything out for that luscious look. Carla works from the back before moving to the front.

The wig was parted in the middle as requested by her young client.

Prom night is all about looking sleek and classy, and this teenager’s decision to part her hair in the middle was the right choice. Carla proceeds to clean up the young lady’s hairline.

The teenager has never worn fake lashes, so Carla let her try some. That allows her client to get a feel for them and decide whether or not she’ll use them.

Carla instead “installs” lashes.

She’s an amazing artist, perfectly blending and matching the look. Her client looks so different from when she first came in. This young lady is definitely ready for prom night!
