Dog won’t stop barking until someone hears him and helps save abandoned baby in the grass
Very few souls will shower us with selfless and unconditional love – but one that will is our dogs.
Dogs are more than just loyal buddies; they provide us with therapy, make us happy, and even save lives.
Dogs have got everything.
They’re smart, loyal, and brave (and also super cute).
The world is a better place with dogs – and one dog, with a heroic rescue mission, made it even better.
From the beautiful and lonely heights of the Philippines emerges a soul-stirring tale about a dog who saved a child.
Junrell Fuentes Revilla, a 36-year-old biker, was just cruising through the local valleys before the event took place.
A dog kept continuously barking until Revilla stopped to see what was wrong.
Revilla was enjoying the heights, tranquil roads, and calming breeze of mountains in Sibonga, Cebu. The beautiful green backdrop, clear sky, and warm weather make Sibonga an incredible place for a bike ride.
While Revilla was continuing his journey suddenly a dog started following him. The dog later started barking at him. At first glance, Revilla felt it was just a stray dog who barks at random strangers.
But the dog kept on barking tirelessly and didn’t seem aggressive, as if he was calling for help.
Revilla stops his ride to check on the dog, and the dog leads him to the dumpsite.
When Revilla went to check the dog, he led him into a garbage site. He wasn’t sure as to why the dog led him there or if he wasted his time following some stray dog.
But as soon as Revilla got to the exact spot the dog intended to lead him, he saw an abandoned baby lying atop of some grass.
Revilla rushed to help the newborn and took him to the nearest police station.
While Revilla was shocked by the incident, he knew the right thing to do the moment he saw the newborn. The baby was only a few days old and was reported to have an umbilical cord attached still to him.
Revilla grabbed the baby and visited the nearest police station seeking help. Police assisted him and requested locals report back if they have information on the baby’s parents.
The department of social welfare took care of the baby.
When the story reached local news, people were amused by the dog’s effort and went in his search.
Revilla initially thought that the dog was a random stray.
But when the local rescue ‘Hope for Strays’ went on their search, they found that the dog had a family.
They also learned his name was Blacky.
Hope for Strays posted the story on Instagram.
The post reads:
“Hero dog Blacky has been found!! ❤️
Through the help of our very dedicated lockdown stray feeders Gea and Kevin, we found hero dog Blacky today! He is the dog who helped save the life of a newborn baby boy found abandoned in a dumpsite in Sibonga Cebu, and he has a loving owner who has 10 dogs in total! 🙏🏼
Let us make hero dog the hero of his family now. Owner Lyndon Olingay has 4 kids and 3 grandchildren.”
While Blacky had a family, who loved him, their condition wasn’t all that well. Ybarita, Blacky’s owner, said:
“No matter how hard life is, even though I’m poor, I feed all of my dogs and take care of them well”
The family, thanks to the dog, received overwhelming support from the locals.
Blacky was already famous for helping a newborn but it was people’s turn to reward him.
What would a pet wish for? The answer to this is — well, being with his owner!
The family received an outpouring of love from the community, being gifted pet supplies, food, and many other essentials for Blacky and his family.
After his heroic effort, we’re sure Blacky was highly rewarded!
