The dogs in this video clearly missed the memo that reminded them they were supposed to hate cats.

There are few things cuter than kittens.

Even the dogs in this video couldn’t believe how cute they were.

It all began when the owner of some dogs and cats found out that her female cat was pregnant. The dogs got along well with the cats, so the owner hoped that when the kittens came into the world, the dogs would show the cats’ babies the same respect.

Still, the owner was worried that her dogs would act aggressively towards the kittens. Yet overall, she knew that her golden retrievers and husky were some of the friendliest animals that she’d ever encountered.

When the cat went into labor, the owner kept the dogs away from the mom-to-be.

Shortly after the birth, the owner saw that the mom and the babies were all healthy. So she carefully introduced the dogs to the new arrivals.

The dogs instantly fell in love with the babies and wanted to play with them. So the owner put the kittens down and started recording.

The video shows the kittens struggling to scamper around. The golden retrievers look on adoringly. The husky just wants to play with them and sniffs close to each one.

Later, the owner feeds one of the babies with a syringe. The husky looks on, fascinated to see how the kitten gets fed. While this happens, the golden retrievers and the cat mom play with another of the kittens.

The scene cuts again to the three dogs looking at a kitten as it learns to walk. The kitten bumps into the dogs’ noses. But the dogs just seem amused at this. Then one of the golden retrievers starts to kiss the kitten, making the infant feel secure and happy.

Then the camera changes to another point. All of the kittens are resting in a basket. The dogs are keeping the kittens safe and warm with their chins, even as the kittens thrash around.

At another point, the husky is lying on the floor when a kitten comes up to him and tries to climb on him. Again, the husky is amused and sniffs at the kitten. Then he gives the kitten a hug and starts cleaning her, just like a cat would.

And just when it seems like the footage couldn’t get any more adorable, it does. Another kitten starts to brush up against one of the golden retrievers’ noses. The kitten then tries to snuggle up under the retriever’s armpit.

The dogs, kittens and cats sure were going to have an amazing time over the next few weeks! The babies would be well looked after by this family.

The footage then made its way onto YouTube, where it went viral.

To date, it has managed to gain over 5.2 million views. It also has over 80,000 likes and 4,000 comments. People have been saying things like this:

People can really learn a lot from the cats, dogs, and kittens in this video.

Even though the kittens are different, the dogs still love and embrace them like they are their own puppies. If dogs can love kittens, then surely people can learn to love other people who have superficial differences to them?
