Boogie Woogie music starts playing in airport and veterans can’t help but bust out their moves
Honor Flights provides free flights for veterans to tour the war memorials in the nationâs capital.
Itâs only natural to give the brave men free flights because war memorials are built in their honor.
While waiting for their Honor Flight home at the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, a group of veterans showed everyone what it means to be young at heart. They stood up and began to dance.
Luckily, the whole thing was filmed and posted on social media in 2015.
More than a million YouTube users have seen the video so far.
Throwing a party while waiting is the best way to entertain yourself.
Several veterans were awaiting their flight home, but they didnât seem bothered about it. As soon as three women began singing âBoogie Woogie Bugle Boy,â great memories flooded the space.
The famous hit song by The Andrews Sisters must have taken these adorable seniors back to their youth.
We must mention that three ladies singing at the airport are known as the Three Ladies of Liberty.
We must say that the name makes a lot of sense. Those angelic voices can surely break anyone free.
The rhythm has taken over, and one man couldnât resist
Everyone was surprised when an elderly gentleman stood up with a look that said he was up to something fun. His friend offered him a cane, but the man refused it.
Thatâs when the boogie-woogie awoke in him.
The man started dancing like a pro. Look at those moves. Heâs having the time of his life.
One YouTube user commented that âyou can never be too old.â We completely agree. Age has nothing to do with how splendid you feel inside.
Soon enough, other veterans joined the dance.
Itâs a delight to watch these heroes enjoying themselves like that. Evidently, they all danced when they were younger. You canât merely make up those moves.
Theyâve got to be in your blood, and they must have danced them a thousand times. We imagine them being real crack fires on the dancefloor.
Marin Perryman and Paul Kopey were both in their 90s, but that didnât stop them from entertaining the crowd and millions of fans after the video went viral.
Imagine surviving the horror of the war but remaining kind-hearted. Thatâs what these two men have taught us. Your energy comes from the heart, and it has nothing to with age nor the circumstances you might be experiencing.
Take a look at Marin and Paul.
Everyone at the airport was dancing with them. Adit it or not, but people half their age would be afraid of embarrassment. Two grandpas didnât care about that. They heard the music, they loved it, and the rest is history.
The best thing is that theyâve made everyone smile.
Wonders can happen when you play the right song.
Who would have thought that a song from the 1940s would cause such a phenomenal show at the airport? Weâve seen plenty of events in public, but this one was spontaneous.
Thatâs why itâs so appealing. Congratulation, dear grandpas, youâve made us dance along.
Thank you for everything you have done for us and your country.
You are heroes, and itâs good to see you have a spectacular time.
