Dogs will love us unconditionally, but dogs have feelings too. They also become upset, sad, and even grumpy at times.

Whatever type of dog breed you have, each one will have their own unique personalities. Some can be really clingy, some can be distant, sweet, and some can be grumpy.

“Boxer” breeds are one of the most loved breeds of dogs today.

According to HillsPet:

“Boxers are intelligent, high-energy, playful dogs that like to stay busy. Their temperament reflects their breeding. They prefer to be in the company of their owners and are loyal pets that will fiercely guard their family and home against strangers.”

They are also known for their saggy and big jowls, which for us, adds dramatically to their handsome build.

So, let us introduce you to this very good-looking boxer named Rodney.

Just look at him, he’s well-built, and according to his owners, his signature pout adds to his overall appeal.

There’s something about Rodney.

We all get it, the saggy jowls of a boxer can make it look like they’re sulking or even in a bad mood, but most of the time they aren’t.

However, Rodney is a little bit different. There is definitely something about his resting-pout-face that will make anyone wonder – is he in a bad mood?

Is it his eyes? Or maybe how he looks at you? We’re guessing it’s the total look that makes us think that he’s not in the mood for some cuddles.

Rodney’s owners are very much familiar with when their pooch is not in the mood or is upset, just like this situation right here.

A video that was shared on YouTube shows Rodney, who was not in the mood, but there’s a reason for his sudden change of behavior.

When Rodney’s mom decided to leave him in the car for a few moments, she was unaware it made her dog very upset.

Don’t worry though, she has made it clear that the car was well ventilated, and it was just for a few minutes- but her action was not at all acceptable for her boxer.

Rodney didn’t even hesitate to let his mom know that he’s no longer in the mood, and he means it.

Rodney was excited to take a stroll with his mom when suddenly; she decided to leave him for a few minutes. Though comfortable inside, Rodney felt that he was missing out on something fun.

When she came back, she saw Rodney sitting on the driver’s seat quietly. He wasn’t even wagging his tail. Instead, he had this blank look on his face, as if he can’t see her.

Rodney was upset.

We get him, don’t we? Who wants to be left behind? That’s not fair at all! Oh mom, no wonder Rodney was upset!

After some convincing, he steps over the passenger seat, but if you think he’d be all excited and okay now, then you’re wrong.

He’s still not okay, and he will let his mom know that he’s upset with her. Some may think that a dog would easily give in when they hear their owner’s sweet voice, but not Rodney.

He stares blankly at the road, and his face was serious.

He’s giving his mom the cold shoulder, and he’s doing a great job at it.

This caused mom to be all concerned and she tried to sweet-talk her way into Rodney’s heart, but this dog is not easy.

He suddenly looks at her, and for a second, we think he is finally giving in, but nope- he returns to his blank stare. He’s not just doing the sulking expression that boxers are known for; he’s dead serious with ignoring his mom.

The video cuts as Rodney returns to his serious “I’ll ignore you, mom” face. Now, we’re all curious to know how she was able to ask for his forgiveness.

We’re guessing she now has an idea of what Rodney hates, and hopefully, she won’t do it again.
