The Git Up Challenge, where people dance to The Git Up by Blanco Brown, has become an internet sensation. People have been dancing to the song across the world. Sometimes, the people are young. Sometimes, the people are old. But this kid must be the youngest of all.

His name is Jackson, and he’s an elementary school student with a passion for dancing.

When he saw on YouTube that people were dancing to The Git Up, he decided that he had to join in.

So he got his camera and found a space in his living room.

Wearing a cowboy hat and sunglasses, Jackson started moving to the warm up section of the song.

As soon as the song kicked in, Jackson started moving like crazy. He may have been in his living room, but all of a sudden it had turned into a dancefloor.

The boy went to the left and to the right with the song and added his own unique moves along the way.

And just when you thought that Jackson’s moves couldn’t have gotten any more fun, they did. At the one and a half minute mark, he took off his sunglasses and threw them out of shot.

He followed this up by throwing his cowboy hat off screen and finishing off the song with a few more incredible dance moves.

Just after recording this video, Jackson’s family uploaded it to their YouTube channel. It soon became a hit. The video has gained, to date, almost 1 million views. It also has over 17,000 likes and 1,200 comments. People have been saying things like this:

It looks like this could be the beginning of a very long and successful career for Jackson. With moves like those, he could sure go far.

Jackson is already performing in front of others. At a recent wedding, his family and friends cleared out a space on the dancefloor just so he could show off his Git Up Challenge skills.

In fact, his performance was so good at that wedding that so many of the guests crowded around behind him and tried to copy his dance. None of the other guests could quite manage to match Jackson’s skills, but who can blame them!? The kid is incredible at dancing!

Of course, when Jackson does grow up, there’s a 100% chance that he’s going to be embarrassed by these videos.

No matter how good his moves are, this is pure gold, in terms of the stuff that his parents could show his girlfriends to embarrass him one day. After all, if you were Jackson’s parents, and he’d brought a nice girl over to meet the family, surely you’d want to show her these cute videos!? He’d hate you for it, but you’d have to do it!

So right now, Jackson can dance away and continue to impress large audiences online. He just has no way of knowing how much he’ll hate them the second he turns 13.

Isn’t it weird how much children change when they enter puberty? One day, they’re dancing in front of the cameras, impressing people online with their cuteness, and the next, they’re screaming that they hate you for showing people those videos!
